Liked: Loved the location; gave easy access to pretty much everything in the CBD

Disliked: Reception staff who helped me check out and returned my locker deposit was surly and nearly borderline rude; he was an exception though, since the rest of the staff were nice. It's just unfortunate that my stay there ended on a sour note because of one staff member.

Liked: Excellent location and very good value for money for Central Sydney hotel.

Disliked: Didn't realise we had shared toilet/bathroom till we arrived, but this was ok once we got used to the idea.

Liked: We were upgraded to a private bathroom room. The breakfast included is good.

Liked: the location is fantastic. the room was clean. I especially liked the fact that there is no double-deck but 4 single beds.

Disliked: It would be better if boys and girls were on different floors by rules.

Liked: Good free continental breakfast, secure and fresh clean towels. The bed was extremely comfy.

Disliked: Aircon was above my head as I was in the bed near the door (unless you love aircon avoid bed A!) though a minor point.

Liked: Position...right near Hyde Park.

Disliked: Very noisy...trumpet practice starting at 07.30! Poor breakfast. Very poor reception staff.

Liked: A Great inner city hotel to stay at, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded backpacker hostels and busier hotels in Sydney. It has a refreshing and relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms, a calmness that enhances your enjoyment of the down time of your stay. The Breakfast included with an optional upgrade is Superb and a great meeting place, however there could be more meeting places or an activity room or swimming pool which of course would make the room price go up and bathrooms in the room would be even more of a great investment for Y Hotels. I'd definitely stay here again!!!

Liked: good location, near Hyde park, museum station, not far from CBD and low-cost supermarket (on Liverpool st, Oxford st. ) , nice bed, and nice breakfast. so valuable over money. but dust (near the windows, curtains) and dirty locker need to be cleaned.

Liked: You get what you pay for here (low budget = basic service, facilities, security, etc.), with saying that, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the place - it's a good, basic hotel for anyone on a budget. It is in a fantastic location directly opposite Hyde Park and Museum train station. It is also extremely close to the free city shuttle bus (555), the Bondi Express bus, and is even easy walking distance to Surry Hills, Chinatown and Darling Harbour.

Liked: Again fantastic place and had another enjoyable stay. The staff are all friendly and very helpful, room was just like you had your own bedroom even though you shared with someone up the other end, free breakfast is quality considering the price you pay for the room. A++++++++++++ Accommodation. Will Definitely Stay again.

Liked: decent, enough space all around and on all floors, fairly clean and well maintained, knowledgeable staff, good location - not too crowded and not too far from the center, little things seem to be well-thought of like frontage, architecture, floor lay-out, conserving energy, maintaining security, even lamp designs. They fix beds and change towels every day. Congratulations to the Y on Hyde Park ! We highly , highly recommend it especially to first timers who want a quiet, clean, very decnt, secure place to stay in the heart of Sydney.

Liked: Good quality Backpackers/Budget Accommodation with no bunk beds :). Free Breakfast was good and best quality and cleanest by far. Bathrooms could do with a bit more cleaning but otherwise very very good overall.
