Surfside Coogee Beach gives location, value, service & facilities right on the beach. Surfside is clean, safe & fun accommodation with dorms, double, twin, triple & family rooms. It’s the perfect place to live in Sydney all year round, close to the City, Harbour & Airports. Do our famous "Sydney for under $10 a day guide", FREE to every guest. Surfside Coogee Beach offers free tea, coffee, FREE body boards, snorkels & masks. At Surfside Bondi Beach (not far away) we have FREE surfboards, body boards, roller blades & table tennis.

All bookings will be processed when we receive them. The balance due plus two percent credit card fee will be debited from the credit card provided. Once processed, we do not refund. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience. For Christmas & New Years, Surfside Coogee Beach has a 9 night minimum from 24th December to 2nd January each year. We do not accept bookings that don’t include this whole period.

We are equally awesome the rest of the year but Christmas & New Years we make a really big effort with our guests serving pancakes every day, our famous FREE Christmas Aussie BBQ lunch all served with FREE wine and crackers too. We have several FREE BBQS throughout this period all with FREE food & wine too perfect for you to meet new friends & get merry.

Being the only backpackers on the beach at Coogee Beach, we have awesome views over the whole beach. Our friendly reception staff are there to help new comers to Australia. They will help you to get started in Australia with Airport shuttles, Tax File Numbers, Bank accounts, Mobile Phones, Sims & Credit, Jobs, Training courses, Phone cards, just about what ever you need. Most of all information is plentiful & we are happy to help.

We have high speed internet & WiFi available 24 hours a day. We also have a fully equipped kitchen with no deposit asked for plates, cutlery etc and a self service laundry. We have a TV room, reception, dining room, DVD & every digital satellite channel available in Australia.

Surfside Travel Coogee Beach can book any travel, tour, bus pass, surf adventure, Fraser/Whitsundays trips, basically anything you wish, please come & ask. Security is paramount to us. To keep our guests & their belongings safe & secure we have locks on all bedrooms doors and entrances and we make sure each guests has their own correct key. We have CCTV in communal areas and provide an office safe for valuables.

Accommodation Information

Share Rooms Both Mixed & Female: Our small, medium & large female and mixed share rooms have comfortable beds, each with freshly made sheets, a fluffy pillow and a warm duvet. Each room with a ceiling fan, wardrobes to hang your gear and trays for under the beds to store your belongings.

Our double, twin and triple rooms are located in at Surfside Bondi Beach or at our partner building located 100 meters away. Those housed in our partner building have full 24 hours to both buildings for events, parties, services and facilities.



All rooms are checked and cleaned twice daily. Safe deposit available at reception for free.

Location Information

We are located right at the start of the famous Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach cliff walk/run. It's frequented by locals & tourists all slowly getting fitter whilst the Pacific Ocean washes onto the beaches and cliffs.

Day activities at Surfside Coogee Beach change with the seasons and are often dependant on the weather. In shoulder and high seasons we offer free snorkeling trips to local beaches, free trips to popular Watson's bay and Harbour national parks, free self guided cliffs walks between Bondi beach & Coogee beach and to from Manly beach to Spit bridge. We also offer free city trips to museums, art galleries, shopping centers, the rocks and major tourist icons.

Night activities also change around during the year but expect movie nights with free popcorn, quiz nights, pass the parcel nights, crab racing, beach BBQ's, punch nights, pub crawls, neighbors nights and our famous wine, cheese and nibbles on Wednesday nights. Most nights end up in one of the famous bars that are only 50 meters away, namely the Coogee Beach Palace & the Coogee Bay Hotel.
