Liked: The location was perfect and there was a nice pool. Free bikes

Disliked: There was a bad bad stench from the mens bathroom. Generally nothing was clean or inviting (kitchen, fridges , rooms etc.) The main stair to the rooms was halfway blocked by a 'Wet floor sign', because one of the airconditioners was above that spot!! Why don't lead the water away!? Plus the electricity was turned of in the rooms from 10 am-5 pm.

Liked: They have a really nice Pool here, free Wi-Fi, free BBQ every Thursday and Saturday, free Breakfast and there you get a either 2 pieces of toast with jam or a bowl of cornflakes, sometimes with fruits and tea and coffee. The kitchen is a bit small but most of the time not too busy so that you can cook and dont have to wait too long.

Disliked: The cleaners should mop the rooms and not just change the bags of the bins!

Liked: great pool, nice bar. rooms really spacious

Disliked: the kitchen wass dirty, messy and you had to hire basic utensils like cutlery, bowls, plates. Generally these are free fior use in hostels

Liked: good location close to centre of town.

Disliked: the road the hostel is on is dark at night so you do not want to come back alone. there are so many additional deposits to pay for when you get there e.g. $20 to hire a cup, cutlery and plates and internet is expensive. also, the kitchen was COVERED in ants. they were everywhere and youre not allowed to have food in your room and so there were ants crawling in the food on the shelves. also, the kitchen doesnt open before 8am and so if you have a tour booked and want breakfast before, you cant get into the kitchen. at night, the music was so loud that you couldnt sleep and it carried on for ages. i really do not think that i would recommend this hostel.

Liked: Very good location, just one street back from the main street in Port Douglas. Girl at reception was helpful and gave advice on reef trips etc. We did a trip with Poseidon and it was great.

Liked: Pool looked nice, just stayed for one night and it was okay, a bit quiet but in v good location. Not blown away but can't really knock it- free brekkie is a good shout

Liked: It is a fantastic hostel- great service and facilities- it was my first time to stay in a hostel so I had a ball!! The staff, the food and overalloranization of my stay was terrific!! Thanks!
