Overview
Set in beautiful tropical gardens with Lagoon style pool & spa, BBQ area & breakfast cafe. Recently upgraded to a 4 star resort, with 52 Self contained apartments located opposite the Sheraton Mirage Resort and close to a famous 4 mile beach.
Port Douglas Sands 4 Star Resort offers a comprehensive mixture of one, two and three bedroom apartments and spacious holiday rental accommodation that more than meets the needs of today's family holidaymaker, as well as providing ample entertainment and living areas within the private grounds.
The gardens are lush and tropical, featuring a variety of exotic tropical plants that surround the swimming pool, spa and barbecue area, providing an idyllic setting for lazing beside the pool or on your private balcony.
Each fully self-contained apartment contains a full kitchen, dishwasher, conventional oven, microwave, washing machine, dryer, remote controlled television, remote controlled air-conditioning, ceiling fans and ISD/STD; direct dial phone connection with each apartment.

Port Douglas Sands Resort has just been visited by "AAA" Tourism, the national body who rates properties. Due to the current renovations new reception and beautiful grounds we have now been upgraded to a 4 Star AAA rating.
The property features a brand new reception area complete with a new tour information and reservations desk for our guests’ convenience.
The air-conditioned art deco reception offers modern furnishings with art work from local artists along with ample room for information boards and brochures regarding all there is to do in the region.

Cancellations are to be advised in writing by mail, fax or E-mail. Cancellations received 14 days or more prior to arrival will be refunded in full, less $50.00 administration fee. For cancellations received less than 14 days prior to date of stay, deposit payments will not be refunded. In the highly unlikely event of a problem arising after arrival. Our liability to you, if any, is limited. Therefore depending on the circumstances we reserve our rights to a non-refundable balance.
