Liked: There were lockers in the dorm. Free internet access. Cupboards and betables... to put our stuffs. Bed were clean and comfortable. A free shuttle to Cairns. A very nice place.

Disliked: Food was a little expensive at the restaurant.

Liked: Spacious rooms and very clean. Lovely Bistro serving excellent food. Very friendly helpful staff who will book trips etc with local companies. Also it was nice and quiet at night so now rowdiness - can get a good nights sleep!

Disliked: A little bit of a walk into main part of town but that meant it was quiet at night so you cant have everything. Also the walk was quite pleasant and took me about 10 mins.

Liked: The staff was very helpful with planning day trips.

Disliked: The kitchen could have been cleaner, but that's a problem of the people using it not really the people running the hostel.

Liked: Excellent value for money, especially if you book early. Lots of space for everyone . Helpful staff. Self-catering kitchen had lots of chiller space .

Disliked: Confusion about shuttle bus meant we paid for commercial shuttle in the end !

Liked: That it's not a typical party hostel with only drunk people but a nice and calm place to relax where you can start to do wonderful tours (to the Reef, rainforest, Cape Trib etc.) from.

Liked: Nice people, clean, good location. Perfect for few days in Port Douglas. Was in low season when visited, but other hostels were fuller and more backpackers. Good if you don't want full on though

Liked: By far the nicest dorm room I have ever stayed in, nice pool, close to the beach. Staff were exceptionally friendly. I accidently left a folder in my room and the hostel's shuttle bus delivered it to my hostel in cairns free of charge. Overall very impressice.

Liked: It is close to the beach and the people there are very nice. Also their bistro is open for people not living in the hostel. That allows to get in touch with locals :)
