Liked: Very clean and tidy, if your looking for a chilled out hostel to stay with in walking distance to the city, this is the place. Kitchen isn't packed at the normal times you would expect it to be. Internet is 24/7 when ever you want, friendly staff and the rooms are very clean. A/C hostel through out.

Disliked: Nothing to complain about. Very happy with our stay.

Liked: - Good location, near the city center - One of the cleanest BP hostel of the area

Disliked: - No curtains around the bed - Too many permanent residents, no word in dorms and dirty guys... - Every service so expensive : internet = 4$/h, laundry = 4$ + 3$ dryer !!!

Liked: Friendly staff, clean, had all the amenities you could want.

Disliked: Staff were a bit disorganised. Mix up with my booking so I was put into a mix dorm for the first few nights of my stay when I requested a female dorm, but it didn't really matter.

Liked: good location, clean room and bathrooms, spacious common area.

Disliked: A/C in the room works only at night. If you wish to sleep in the morning or afternoon after the over night flight, it is not possible in summer as it's terribly hot! (38℃ outside) but works very well at night. Wifi is not free, and Internet costs 10mins = $1 was a bit expensive.

Liked: It's a delightful surprise in how spacious the hostel common areas are. The private 4-person room with the A/C ensuite is quite luxurious; it was only missing a kitchen! Easy walk to many museums, free city loop buses, many restaurants and night life. I would stay again, and recommend the Emperor's Crown Backpackers!

Disliked: Common areas are a bit too warm during the summer, but when there's a breeze and the open doors help the circulation. Drying racks for dishes would be good. For cleaning - the signs, 'Wash, Rinse, and Air Dry" would be better, and safer. MUCH more sanitary than drying with dirty dish towels. Racks for luggage storage - make it easier to retrieve, esp if it's on the bottom!

Liked: Large dorm, large clean kitchen, only a short walk from city centre, very helpful staff.

Disliked: Not a great place to meet people, no activities organised by hostel to help this. Most people seemed to be long term guests.

Liked: would well recomend this place it is in a quite location but only 5min walk to the city for shoping and 5min to the nightlifein northbridge

Liked: very clean and very comfort. ..so no worries about bedbugs or wht soever.close to train station and clubs...(for those who like clubbing) ;)

Disliked: in the morning its quite noisy from people talking outside building and quite disturbing since u r trying to get a good sleep.. especally room 3. but if u are not all morning sleeper, no worry then. bit far from city..

Liked: 24-hour reception, generally clean, lots of places to hang out if you have nothing better to do and very friendly and helpful staff :).

Disliked: The location (not many interesting places in the immediate vicinity), though it's pretty near the train station, and walking distance to Northbridge.

Liked: i have no hesitation recommending the emperor's crown. as a hostel the rooms are really big and spacious, lots of storage for bags and things. beds are comfy and clean. the showers are really good and clean as well. the reception is staffed all night and there is a code on the door to stop randoms. really good facilities on offer. big kitchen and lots of computers and lounging areas. there are two cafee's on either side and supermarkets near by. the location is primo. really close to the city and can walk there in minutes. the staff are friendly and there is HEAPS of information available on how to spend your time in perth. bit pricey but definetly worth every cent.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Very affordable for double room with ensuite bathroom and refrigerator, very good alternative to 2 or 3 stars hotels. Concierge service available we left our luggage around 10am and collected it around 7pm. So we could keep exploring Perth and surrounding areas for few more hours. Very clean with small areas where people could sit on a sofa and read or just lounge. Also areas with tables if one wanted to write or whatever you want to do with a table. Big kitchen with dining areas and laundry available, but we've not used these.

Disliked: I didn't dislike anything about the hostel, but just a suggestion for the owners. As there is no room cleaning service in the hostel (and we wouldn't expect it) cleaning stuff/tools should be made available to the guests. We stayed 6 days and the room was getting a bit dirty. A chair in the bedroom would also have been nice, but not really an issue with this. Also there is a lenght mirror in the female showers if you need one as this is not available in the private double bedroom we had, again no major issues, we were bound not to look good on this trip anyway... ''speak for yourself'' says my partner. LOL!

Liked: Very clean, not far from town (10 min walk to shopping district), helpful staff, good kitchen and bathrooms.

Disliked: Small communal area, no headsets on computers.
