Liked: Realy realy nothing to like!

Disliked: Very dirty, espescialy the kitchen. Cold during the night (so that was why they ask at check in if I had a sleeping bag, I said no, and he just said: oh, you'll be allright). Not even a 'Welcome' at check in. Bad atmosphere in the hostel, no respect from other travellers, just a lot of general loudness.

Disliked: Appears to be only cleaned once a week - so by the end of the 7 days it gets very disguisting.

Liked: Good location.

Disliked: Rooms very institutional,hate having to pay a deposit for a plate,mug and cutlery - although i guess this is better than there not being any available - just feels a bit insulting at the age of 37 to be treated like I cant be trusted with the crockery! Also found the bathroom to be full of vomit in the morning , although in fairness to hostel cleaners this was tackled pretty quick come the start of their shift.

Liked: We had heard very mixed reviews for this hostel but we had no problems and really enjoyed the place. The staff were more than helpful and the bar downstairs is great especially to watch the football. The dorms are clean maybe a little noisy but thats the people not the place and lots of common areas with TVs.

Liked: All in all not a bad hostel. It has everything you need and isn't too pricey. Just a shame the internet's so expensive, and the asian guy on night duty is the most unfriendly, unhelpful, unaccommodating and hostile person ever. How he's working in a hostel I do not know. Also, one of the sinks in the men's toilets was blocked for my entire stay.....not something difficult to fix but it didn't happen.

Liked: Good place to meet people, large common area, bar, pool tables, movie rooms etc. Near Northbridge so good if you're into the party scene but not if you like quiet nights. Easy access to the city, especially the train station to get to Cottesloe and Fremantle.

Liked: What I did not like was the 'free breakfast'. A deposit for cutlery and bowl, the charging for milk and the lack of butter or toaster with the sliced bread does not really cut it.
