Liked: 12:01 is the perfect place to stay while being in Perth. It offers a huge range of activities and fun. Nearly every day there are excursions and events planned by the hostel crew, such as bowling, ice skating etc., which will make your stay even more enjoyable. The cosy backyard invites for having long nights and every Saturday there is a barbecue held down there. The atmosphere in the hostel is brilliant, it seems like being part of a big family. The hostel has a place called "The Cave" where you can watch movies for free, play Pools or Table football. Internet access is available (Global Gossip) and is open till late night, a tour booking office will plan your next trip if you want to. The rooms are tidy and clean, as well as the kitchen and the showers. The kitchen is well equipped and every morning there is a complimentary breakfast in between 8 and 10 am.The staff and the manager are really friendly and helpful, don't hesitate to ask them anything at all times, they will assist you for sure. Your dirty clothes can be washed in the provided washing machines and dryers.Situated on Hay Street, East Perth, just 15 minutes away from the CBD by feet, 12:01 has an excellent location. Free CAT buses will run you within minutes into the centre of the city. The Perth Mint is just next door.Many nice restaurants sorround the hostel, so there is no need to worry what you should eat, most of them you will find around.

Liked: the only thing i regret is that they have signs for everything as: if you don't do this, you have to pay... , if you don't do that, you have to do... etc. it sometimes felt like i was on camp instead of chilling as a backpacker. but i guess if they had bad experiences with cleaning up after using dishes etc they have to come up with threatening rules as they do. It was a very friendly staff though.

Liked: There are lots of different places to hang out, the outdoor patio area has fairy lights and a barbeque which is nice. There is also a lounge area next to the kitchen, then a whole other film area with a widescreen and lots of films to watch for free. There is also a pool table free to use too (deposit). 1201 are really laid back too and the location is brilliant. Thanks for a good stay!

Liked: I enjoyed my stay here, a really good hostel. Facilities are fairly basic but it has everything you need. Global Gossip internet access on site. Staff very helpful, especially the manager. It's about a 20 minute walk into Perth's CBD but if you're too lazy / tired to walk the public transport is very good and buses stop nearby and best of all are free!

Liked: the hostel is a fair bit to walk from the train station but its worth it. the staff is helpful and friendly, the guests nice, open minded and fun.i had a great stay there and would recommend the place to others

Liked: Not a bad place, but the atmosphere was a bit flat. Facilities are ok but could be better. Internet and washing are not free and are quite expensive. Be warned; if you try book or extend your stay at the hostel you will pay a higher rate than if you book over the internet! I payed $25 on the internet and they wanted $29 for an extra night!

Liked: I was happy to have space other than my dorm to walk around, to be able to seat in front of the TV with my dinner and really enjoy a friendly atmosphere while eating, I really thought it nice that they make some items communal at the kitchen for cooking and the staff is very helpful and warm. I definitely would go back there.
