Liked: Location is fantastic, right next to a pub and the beach! The atmosphere was great too, and loved having your own bathroom in the dorm.

Disliked: Bit of noise during big nights at the pub nearby but nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix!

Disliked: Not the most secure - not enough usable lockers to go round in the dorm, doors to dorm room constantly left unlocked so anyone could walk in Dorm room was a mess - dinner plates left everywhere unwashed, all storage shelves full of crap

Liked: he hostel is right at the beach, which is really nice. the rooms are fairly large - you don't feel crowded even in an 8-bed-dorm. the beds are ok, rooms are clean (clean enough by my standards anyway), the kitchen is well equipped. when i was there, there was free sausage sizzle on wednesdays. free tea and instant coffee (although the coffee ran out and it took about 3-4 days to be refilled).

Disliked: the beach is no surf beach. if you wanna surf, you're better off further north (e.g. scarborough). the deposits for keys and dishes are fairly high. the top bunks of the beds are a bit hard to access (no stairs). the kitchen was sometimes closed for cleaning at inconvenient times.

Liked: The hostel was really nice! The beach is 2 minutes walk away. There are some Cafés and Pubs around. The hostel was really clean and the staff was friendly. I can recommend this hostel!!!

Liked: It was close to a beach, which was great for a morning jog or swim. But worthless for surfing, and that sucked. Nice TV rooms and movie selection.

Liked: I would have loved to know that there is a bus from Perth city which stops in front of the door, instead of taking a train after which one has to walk quite a while !

Liked: it being right on the beach was great, but it should be noted that this place is miles from the international airport and as there is no public transport to airport it costs an arm and a leg to get a private shuttle to take you there - especially early in the morning. My solution was to travel to the domestic airport as late as possible the night before using public transport and get the 8 dollar transfer from there to the international terminal (which runs pratically all night) and put up with an uncomfortable night. But it did save me 25 dollars! Also half the time i felt as though anybody could walk into the dorm i was in, mainly due to the other residents putting the door lock on the latch!

Liked: Couldn't ask for a better location - under a minutes walk and you're on Cottesloe beach! Xbox room and movie room as well as a common room and outside communal area very good. Kitchen a bit dirty but nothing too grim to cook in. Rooms nice with high ceilings and own fridges - would recommend.

Liked: It is in the most beautiful place, just over the road from a beautiful beach! The staff are really nice and very helpful. The dorms are nice and big and there is a really friendly atmosphere.

Liked: everybody was partying and all the people have been very very friendly to everybody, talking to anyone about anything and noone had to feel lonely- people had been very ready to help if you really needed help- all the people have been open minded- but on the whole it was absolutely really too dirty (cockroaches in the rooms, dirty fridges, the whole hostel smelled unclean etc.), that's why I wouldn't recommend it...
