Liked: Property and accomodation fairly described in description, but note no WiFi or internet available and also a A$20 key deposit is required on arrival. Staff very helpful and eager to please.

Disliked: Needs some decoration and minor upgrades.

Liked: This is my 1st time to Australia. To look for budget hostel is quite difficult but this place is awesome. Thank you for the pleasant stay. Will stay there again if visit Australia again.

Liked: Great location, nice big room. Ensuite, kettle and fridge included for the same price as just a room elsewhere. Having read a number of reviews about the showers running hot/cold I was expecting worse. The shower temperature does fluctuate but at least it's hot. Everyone is friendly and it's quiet as advertised.

Disliked: The smell in the room was truly awful. Like man poo masked with perfume. Scarily though, after a few days you get used to it. For a property with kettles, fridges etc in the rooms, it was disappointing to find hardly any cutlery and no bowls in the kitchen. Despite what this website says, bring a towel. Security of the building and day storage room was a bit lax.

Liked: the large room, old feel an ensuit ... 24 hour checkin close to train

Disliked: the attitude and unhappiness of the person booking us in, yes she is a really good cleaner and i told her so when we looked in the room, her charms at customerservice are non existant ... sorry ... you could tell she was trying but even our friend who dropped us off was worried for us, booking us in while complaining about wages, no they take no cards and you had better have the correct change otherwise you will be told the amount needed 100 times and be told to go to maccas to get the right money, just wanted to sleep and leave, will not go to again and will tell others if its for short stay all good ...

Liked: I liked the fact , that the single room had its own shower and toilet.

Disliked: That there was no reading light beside the bed, as alway love to read in bed when on holidays.

Liked: The location is good as it is closed to china town which we can find various restaurant here.

Disliked: It is dirty especially the kitchen. You won't want to use the kitchen when you see it.

Liked: We loved the friendliness of the staff, especially Max and Frances. Frances was a wealth of information and made sure that our taxi arrived in time for the airport, and waited with us till it arrived. We were amazed to have a microwave, fridge and a brand new 42 inch TV. It was great being in a central location and having the free bus service. Certainly value for money.

Disliked: It would have been nice to have a reading light over the bed.

Liked: The ensuite and kitchen facilities in the room

Disliked: The room had a very damp feel to it and mouldy windows and curtains, also the blind didnt close, arrived at property and no one was at reception had to stand around and get one of the guests to find someone and when they arrived they had no record of our booking.

Liked: This hostel is in a great location, just round the corner from the busy Northbridge and only 10 minutes to town. The room we stayed in was HUGE and even had a balcony, and surprisingly came with a microwave/kettle/fridge/toaster/TV as well as en suite. It was about the cheapest out there.

Disliked: It is pretty grotty. Think of student house of about 10 years ago. There isn't a reception as such and no access to the internet or even a payphone on the premises. It's not a hostel as you probably think of it, more a series of rooms with a grotty small TV room and unimpressive kitchen. It feels very unloved and we looked forward to being somewhere else. Wish I'd paid a little more for a little better.

Liked: Self contained apartment was excellent, great central postion with good cooking facilities.

Disliked: The showers were erratic, cold-hot-cold-hot.

Disliked: The location is not very accessible.The CAT bus does not operate along Beaufort St. I need to walk all the way to James St to board the Blue Cat.

Liked: The reception is very nice and help me in everything i need. the location is good, is within walking distance to the city. I was renting a double ensuite room, i have everything inside the room including toaster, microwave and fridge. I like the room very much and the people there.

Liked: The host was very very helpful to all guests and she did her very best to assist guests with any information you needed

Disliked: Maybe the only diadvantage was no wifi BUT this can be gotten around by using an internet cafe

Liked: Good location, that means near to train station, bus station and city center

Disliked: No aircon. It was hot enough being in the room. I cannot imagine how awful staying in this hotel in middle of summer or in the middle of winter (no heater too).
