Liked: Good location, that means near to train station, bus station and city center

Disliked: No aircon. It was hot enough being in the room. I cannot imagine how awful staying in this hotel in middle of summer or in the middle of winter (no heater too).

Liked: Good value for money. Spacious rooms. Nice and Quiet. Free cutlery, tea/coffee and fresh milk provided.

Liked: The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. It was placed very conveniently for public transport/cafes/China town/cbd.

Liked: nice and close it was too the city

Disliked: i hated the the bed and the bed bugs or at least something that kept attacking us in the night. the toilet leaked water all over the floor for the 6 nights i was there, i was kept up most nights by the other visitors that romed around.

Liked: It was within walking distance to the city & within the limits of the free bus rides. Loved the fact that there was a supermarket & pharmacy around the block.. Staff was extremely helpful with advice on places to go & hints on the best deals arouns Perth.

Disliked: Nothing that comes to mind..

Liked: Very quiet location, quite close to the city centre. Very nice old building with some resemblance to a castle. All facilities were basic and old but they mostly worked. Staff were extremely helpful and nice. Beds were large, clean (no bugs whatsoever!) and very comfortable. Coin-operated laundry available on site. Large supermarket one corner down the street, several restaurants close by. Very close to some good museums.

Disliked: The hot water supply needs immediate renovation, water temperature is extremely difficult to set and can be dangerous (this has been remarked in prior reports on this site long ago). Facilities are very much run down. A water tap in our room dripped continuously with a loud noise. The communal kitchen was clean, but small, narrow and showed a lot of damage. Ceiling on the ground floor was marked by water leaks from the top floor. The bed sheets were clean, but the blankets covering the beds and especially the curtain of the bathroom window had not been cleaned for a while and smelled of dust and dirt (giving the room a bit unclean atmosphere). The curtain was also torn. The shutters of the room window were old and did not function properly. There was an open waste bin in the room, but nobody emptied it during our long stay. Office hours are very short, although they display a phone number where you can reach them when out of office.

Liked: only the location

Disliked: The double en suite appartment was a bad joke, not an appartment: though it contained fridge, microwave, kettle, there was no place to sit down at the table. There was no place for washing up, there was no cupboard so we had to store all our belongings in our backpack and on the two chairs provided. On the ceiling there was some mold and also on the walls. The taps were dropping and it was impossible to take shower, because the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold (changed unpredictably between these two extremes).

Liked: Small hostel and not much communal areas but nice rooms and felt very safe. Also a brillant location for all attractions and nightlife.

Disliked: nothing i enjoyed my stay here

Disliked: Unable to get on three of our chosen tours as fully booked so ended up only being able to get the shuttle bus for the sunrise which only offered too limited a time at the rock. very disappointing. also no cooking facilities in room so dependent on hotel facilities.

Liked: A wonderful place to stay. Elizabeth, the owner, makes you feel really welcome and has bundles of info about Perth at her disposal. Located in a quiet area so nice if you want to be out of the main backpacker's area but close enough to main amenities. Would definately stay here again.

Liked: It is near a supermarket, very convenient to buy the needed toiletries or food supplies. It is very near the bus stop for buses that are included in the Free Transit Zone.
