Treehouse YHA

The Treehouse Hostel YHA is a unique backpacker accommodation hostel. This spacious timber and pole building is situated in the tropical heart of North Queensland, Mission Beach.

The Treehouse Hostel features lofty ceilings and a sundeck overlooking a stunning pool area and spectacular views of the surrounding tropical rainforest.

There are sun lounges, hammocks on shaded verandahs, regular BBQs, a great little library, sound system and board games. We've even got Global Gossip internet so you can stay in touch.

The atmosphere is unmistakably friendly and laid back. With no TV, mingling amongst others is the way of the Treehouse Hostel.

Accommodation Information

The Treehouse has eight 6-bed dorms - male only, female only and mixed. Three double and one twin room available for 1-2 people. The Treehouse also offers grassy tent pitches and space for campervans.

Location Information

Nestled amongst Far North Queensland's World Heritage tropical rainforest, the timber and pole Treehouse is the longest operating hostel in Mission Beach. Appreciated by the laid back and nature-loving traveller, the Treehouse has spacious six-bed dorms, double and twin rooms as well as tent and campervan space. Open-walled common areas house a small library, comfortable seating, sound system, board games and instruments while balconies offer views over the rainforest to the coast.

The large and well-equipped kitchen, BBQ, fenced pool area, hammocks, licensed bar, laundry, table tennis, internet, tour bookings desk, small shop and complimentary tea and coffee are available to all our guests to make their stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

A short drive from Mission Beach village, the Treehouse is located near National Park walks to spot the elusive Cassowary, several secluded beaches, a popular bar and cafe with Mission's locals, and is a pick-up point for adventure activities.

A courtesy bus is available upon request to meet buses, otherwise drive up to Frizelle Road (off Bingil Bay Road), Mission Beach QLD 4852.
