Liked: great vibe and common area. convenient to trams into the city, but still a ways away from the CBD and from St Kilda beach. overall, quite clean and fun- stayed there a week. definitely appreciated the free pickup from the airport.

Liked: Friendly staff, good sized kitchen and very clean! The dorm beds were very squeaky though which was a bit annoying!

Liked: stayed there in may '09 when it was still called cooees, no idea if more than the name changed ;)Nice place, quite large but everything is clean, well maintained and the staff is nice. There is a really large lounge+tv area and a great kitchen. They're doing loads of activities every two days or so, so it's not to hard to meet new people. Location is good, st kilda is a nice place to go out, there is an Aldi nearby (best place to buy booze in oz), it takes a while to go to downtown Melbourne but at least the tram line is right in front of the hostel.

Liked: I was only really there to sleep but the rooms and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable.The free onsite parking is fantastic, especially as parking around the St Kilda area is notoriously scarce - although they could paint some lines so people don't just park where-ever!

Liked: When I first checked in, the staff wasn't helpful, didn't really explain anything to me and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. The location is okay, but not great, they say its a 10 minute walk to St. Kilda beach, but its really about 20. It's extremely clean, but they have too many rules, for instance you have to put down a $10 deposit for cutlery and another $10 for a room key, if I had the chance to go back, I would probably stay somewhere else...it is a good place to meet people though and extremely tidy

Liked: Fantastic place, more like a hotel than a hostel. Clean, modern and great location on within walking distance of St Kilda and Chapel St and easy access to the city on 2 tram routes. Great value

Liked: Cooee is a lovely hostel, nice friendly staff, rooms are clean, shower facilities are good too5 to 10 min walk from St Kilda centre, and the tram stop is just across the road from the hostel, takes 20 mins into central MelbourneI definatly recommend staying here

Liked: We stayed at a 4 beds room, the room is too small, anyway, the toilet and bathroom is super clean and nice!!Location: its a lil bit far fm beach :(valuable for wht u paid!

Liked: I've stayed at a lot of hostels and this is easily the best. Facilities are top notch, staff are great, the whole place is immaculate and I shared with some great people. I'm trying to think of something critical but really I can't. If you want to be in the St Kilda district near the beach but also a short tram ride from town then this is the place for you.

Liked: it's very clean and it's very spacious. I've never have problem waiting for bathroom and never had problems waiting in the kitchen. The arrangement of the room are reasonable and heaters, air conditional, hot water and others facilities are considered complete. Common rooms are pretty cosy and the atmosphere in the common room is good, it's a good place to hang out after a long day trip.

Liked: I really enjoyed staying at Cooee... the staff were great, they give you an hour of free internet and there are lots of computers available, the bathrooms/showers were spotless and the dorms were quiet. Common room couches were also comfy.
