Liked: Spotlessly clean, great free breakfast, really secure, friendly staff, no rip-off bar prices... pretty much perfect.

Disliked: Nothing, really. Might be a bit too cool for older travellers. Like me.

Liked: Good, clean hostel. Felt very safe.

Disliked: Didn't like it was outside the CBD, but the tram was right outside and it's a 15 min or so ride into the city.

Liked: cleanliness, internet cafe downstairs

Disliked: a good 20 mins out of the city and about 15 mins to the beach, the kitchen was not big enough and there was often a que for pots and pans etc

Liked: Kitchen and bathrooms always clean, good lounge area - loads of tables and sofas, good security in dorms, free breakfast, free sausage night, free wifi

Disliked: Nothing. Takes a while to get to CBD but tram stops right outside, and means it's much quieter.

Disliked: 8 bed dorms were a little cramped and steel framed beds made quite a racket.

Liked: The atmosphere is just great! Everyone is able to spend their days and nights the way they want to. It feels like home!

Liked: it was very clean and comfortable, and also very safe. a bunch of gimmicks, like pancake breakfast, BBQs, tours etc. Also great: free shuttle service from the airport if you stay for 3 nights or more.

Disliked: almost everyone at this hostel was very young and it wasn't as diverse a group as in many other places. it's a nice location if you've got a lot of time, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is only in melbourne for 3 nights like me, as it is too far from the city to walk and always taking the tram gets expensive.

Liked: The best hostel Ive ever stayed at! It was really clean, good location, friendly helpful staff, nice breakfast and a good place to meet other people at.

Disliked: Nothing really... Dorms a bit small and the beds were a bit squeaky.

Liked: Great place to stay, not to far to walk to St. Kilda beach and really easy to get to the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a good atmosphere

Disliked: Nothing, due to the Australian Open though it was a bit more expensive than usual!

Liked: Generally clean, kitchen facilities good however you had to fight to get a cup!! They definately need more plates etc for such a big hostel. Bathrooms were fine

Disliked: Staff are terrible! First they messed up our booking and we had paid for a more expensive room, which they couldnt give us! no refund was offered and overall they were so unhelpful. We asked how to get somewhere and it seems they can't be bothered to help you. Again not enough plates etc in the kitchen and there is no room to put your things in the fridges! We stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was the tiniest most claustrophobic room!! nowhere to put your bag so cramped :-(

Liked: .laundry room -kitchen was alsways clean -manny toilets&showers -friendly staff -next to st. kilda&beach -tram connection to city is perfect -wifi in rooms it is not the cheapest place to stay, but you really get something for your money!

Liked: The kitchen space was great, heaps of room and utilities on offer. Outdoor area was awesome, with plenty of room for everyone on a hot day to chill outside. Bathrooms were pretty nice too, as well as the free wi-fi which was given to you on arrival. St Kilda has awesome nightlife, every day as well! Always something to do.

Disliked: The dorms were a bit cramped, not much room to put your stuff, as well as the security areas being on the ground and therefore hard to access when luggage etc was in the way. Due to the fact that there are plenty of area to hang out though, this wasn't much of an issue as you hardly spent any time in your dorm room. Location is good if you want to hang in St Kilda for a bit, they are right outside a tram line into the city, however if you want to be in the CBD then this is a bit of a commute (about 20mins on the tram).

Liked: Big common areas, clean and modern.

Disliked: Slightly outside town, but only 10 mins walk. Room very small (4 bed dorm).

Liked: The facilities are top notch. Bathrooms and kitchen are always clean and a rly nice common room and outdoor area. Free wireless internet as well an added bonus. Friendly, helpful staff.

Disliked: There was not many organised events in the evenings or during the day so its up to you to put the effort in to meet ppl, which may be hard for shy ppl. Also, the 10 bed dorm was a little on the cramped side. There is not a great deal going on with the Job Board either, no affiliations with any companies.
