Liked: Staff were so friendly and helpful all the time. They made my stay really enjoyable.

Disliked: Location. Its far from the CBD so if youre wanting to be in the CBD every day or night in melb, its better to stay closer to the CBD

Liked: very clean, good place to hang out even for weeks as many people do, great service for booking further trips, really enjoyed the time here.

Disliked: internet connection is free but sometimes a real pain in the ass...should get a faster line...

Liked: very friendly and professional staff, very clean, free wifi, nice lounge with sofas and so on in basement

Disliked: 10 bed dorm was a bit too cramped (not enough space for everyone to put backpack etc)

Liked: it was big and open. there was a lot offered to meet people and see the country. free breakfast was good (although, it ran out, so get in early). very clean. organised. free wifi is great, but you have to keep logging in.

Disliked: the 'lockers' were difficult to use and often broken. they were also metal so scraped early in the morning when others were sleeping. the hostel is in St Kilda which is out of the city if you want to spend most of your time in the city, and only 1 tram runs by it on the weekends, which can add time. beds are very hard, but clean.

Liked: it was lik a bare hotel room which was brill compairing to most hostels. it was very clean and very secure.. the staff were lovely and would recommend to anyone

Disliked: it was a bit outside the city so had to get a tram or taxi.

Liked: First stay at a hostel, if this one is the norm I think I'll sell my house.

Disliked: The door to our room wouldn't lock if you left it to close, which nearly all the guests did. Not great for security, apparently this happens all the time other guests were saying. It was however repaired the next day. So not really a negative after all.

Liked: The hostel was very clean and the staff is helpfull. Thanx to Molly the entertainment guru for her priceless advice

Disliked: The location isn;t the best but there is a Tram station right infront of the Hostel.

Liked: Friendly staff, lots going on, free breakfast and other meals on certain days

Disliked: Nothing. It would have been nice if our room-mates did not cover the entire floor with their belongings but that's not the hostel's fault and the staff were trying to get them to tidy up

Liked: The staff were very friendly and exceeded my expectations on their quality of service throughout our stay. The location is outside of the city, but St. Kilda is an absolutely beautiful place with it's close proximity to the beach, an entertainment park, a street of cute shops and cafes.

Disliked: Nothing that strikes out.

Liked: Clean modern place with great facilities, and not too far from both town and St Kilda beach.

Disliked: Predominantly big groups of kids in early twenties, fine if your on the beer; not so good if your solo looking for a bit of sleep.

Liked: Nice commonarea with good music. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free wi-fi and free breakfast.

Disliked: The location is a little bit fare from the city center, but the trams make it easy to get back and forth.

Liked: Bathrooms are excellent, very clean and well maintained. Kitchen good with plenty of storage space and equipment, but got messy. Lots of places to sit in common areas and good courtyard space. Beds were comfy and clean.

Disliked: Some not all of the staff were extremely rude and looked down on you. They seem to have a lot of long stay guests that have there own group and don't like to involve any others and staff were always involved with this group.

Liked: Actually one of my favorite hostel I stayed! Very clean, cozy and comfortable common areas, very good insulation in dorms. Enough showers and toilets and always clean!

Disliked: I wouldn't change anything

Liked: Nice social areas, social events to get involved with. Knowledgeable staff. St. Kilda is a nice place. Kitchen and bathrooms quite clean. Allowed to bring your own drinks.

Disliked: Rooms not quite big enough for 10 bed dorms; a bit stuffy. No on site bar!!

Liked: I really enjoyed their different events in the evening like a Trivial Pursuit night, a concert and a "come-on-the-stage-and-do-what-you-can" night - they keep their guests busy and so the youth is not only sitting around and drinking. We had a lot of fun! this was one of the cleanest hostels in Australia, the staff was very helpful and the people around nice. Big common area, big kitchen, good wifi, tram station right in front of the hostel, groceries not far away. i had a great stay here.

Disliked: the cab from the CBD was about 27$
