Liked: It was in a great location and it was right above the pub. If you want to get the $6 meal though you have to book it early, especially on Sunday nights when they do Sunday roast. We missed out on that because we didn't check in until 7pm.

Liked: It's above a pub (hotel) but it's really friendly and they do food offers in the bar downstairs which are definatly value for money. It's not noisey like you would think.

Liked: You get free brekky. It's only toast and cereal and such,, and it's only from 8-10, but it's free. Get there early though. They tend to pack up breakfast and the dinners quickly.Staff was AMAZING. Very helpful. If they didn't know, they would find out for you.Comfortable beds. They give you a pillow case, bottom sheet, and duvet with a cover, along with a towel, already made and on your bed when you arrive.Met a lot of cool people. It's a bit far from the city centre - I wouldn't recommend walking, and I love to walk. Fantastic area on its own, though. Good cheap food places - and not-so-cheap if you have the money.Overall - fantastic.

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at The Pint on Punt. Staff were great and very helpful and the pub downstairs had something on nearly every night and was full of atmosphere. My room was basic but very clean and the free breakfast every morning is huge bonus. They also do $6 backpacker meals at night which are real value for money. Had a great time, highly reccomend!!!

Liked: Great atmosphere loved the pub downstairs & activities most nights. The bed was really uncomfortable but other than that everything was great & i was happy to stay there for a week

Liked: This hostel is about average compare to other hostels but the bathroom was awful - one toilet flooded and the drainage in the showers was a hole in the wall connecting the two showers, so if two people showered at the same time there was a lot of standing in each others dirty shower water. Other than that not a bad place though!

Liked: The pub down stairs was great and had something on most nights. athough it seemed to have a problem with mice as they were everywhere and you could hear them at night in the floor boards!! other than that it was a great hostel as my rating shows

Liked: The pint on punt is in a great location for bars and St Kilda and its really easy to get to and from the airport. The bar downstairs is a really good place to meet locals and others staying in the hostel. The $6 backpacker meals are great and all the staff made us really part of the pint on punt family. Big thanks to John and Jackie!

Liked: Great location, 15min walk to St Kilda. Double rooms are tiny but also cheap and let you have your own privacy.
