Liked: We were booked to stay here for 2 nights and ended up extending it for an extra 5 weeks once we encourtered the lovely Marydoll and Bill, the wee Irish owners. They have been so good to us and have made us feel welcome and at home. This hostel is very different to most hostels due to the little extra touches, breakfast is included which is a major plus, clean towels every day, free pasta and rice at night ( great if your on a budget!). We love it and will definately be sad to leave our new found family.Its a goodie.

Liked: This hostel is really comfy and Mary is like a mum to everyone. Its a great place to make new friends and breakfast is included. Im still here and dont want to leave. Love it here.

Liked: I think St Arnauds was in a great position as it was situated close to the Botanical Gardens, some nice cafes and had basic services nearby, The number 8 Tram stop on Park St, was just out the front, and went right through the city, which made it easy as you didn't change trams very much if you wanted to go to the other side of the city. The street was safe and had pretty homes. South Yarra was a lovely suburb, with lovely shops and close to other popular suburbs and tourist attractions. The staff were helpful, happy and warm. They made my stay very comfortable. I had basic services in my room and the bathroom was always free. People staying at St Arnaud's were of a wide age bracket so it wasn't full of partying backpackers. Although my front view room was a touch noisy from the trams, some earplugs is all that would solve that as it was nice to have a private balcony and a view across thestreet. I definitely would stay there again.
