Liked: spacious, clean, well-maintained, cosy and comfortable beds, great facilities, great location.

Disliked: the fact that i was told to 'jump up and down' (immediate response) when i told reception there was no hot water in the bath (i tested for 30min). they later got more complains about it and decided to take it seriously.

Liked: it is very very clean there and i loved it to stay with the space hotel. i stayed there twice on my holidays so i really love it!!!!!! you can do a lot things there.... e.g. workouts, theres a tv room, chill out lounge, big, clean kitchen, laundry.... so there is everything you need!!!

Liked: The staff were all really friendly and helpful and knew loads about things to do in melbourne.

Disliked: The bathrooms were cramped and not as clean as they could have been. It was uncomfortable going in after someone had been in the shower.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff and nice bar! Rooms were really nice and modern, bonus to have satellite telly when you just want to chill! Bathrooms were always clean as was the kitchen area. Good safety measures in place. Overall a fab stay that has far outshone other hostels in Australia!!

Disliked: Given that we stayed for just under a week would have been nice to have our bin emptied at least once! There were tons of cleaners around all the time so was surprised this never happened.

Liked: Central to the city, clean amenities and good facilities, very big kitchen, 6 bed dorm room was good. Each bed has a locker big enough for a large backpack or suitcase.

Disliked: Did not meet one nice staff member there, all that we talked to were unfriendly and unhelpful. There is little information available to backpackers about what to do in Melbourne, there's the odd brochure here and there. My friend put her bags in my locker as we didn't have much stuff and then left clothes and other personal items on the bed. When the cleaners cleaned the room, they stripped her bed and put new sheets and blankets in the locker and took all of her belongings as they assumed she had checked out because there was nothing in her locker :S. When we went to the front desk to ask where her belongings were they had no Idea where they were and couldn't contact any of the cleaners. They didn't really want to look for it anywhere and did not seem at all the least bit interested in helping her find her belongings. It 24 hrs for them to find her belongings after numerous complaints and phone calls to their house keeping department to find the items the cleaners had taken. Very poor communication between departments and very poor customer service.

Liked: Great location, lots of facilities, a balcony and was clean, new and quite quiet (not on a crowded street).

Liked: very clean, neat and it appeared as a real hotel, eventhough it is characterized under budget hostels.

Disliked: the internet should be free. at least for first few minutes.

Liked: Stayed there for the one night when going to see a concert up the road. The staff were terrific and took time to answer all my questions. The room was terrific for a shared dorm. Was a large room, everything was supplied and there was even a locker beside my bed. Will definitely stay again in the future. Surprised how great everything was for it's price. Recommend it as a first choice for staying in Melbourne on a budget. Also it's great to be in a busy hostel, it's all about the people anyway

Disliked: I could have spent more time there. I literally just went there and slept, but I got what I payed for

Liked: i liked the lay out of the rooms but i had a vent pumping out cold air right next to the bunk so that was pretty unpleasant. good location.

Disliked: wasnt wowed with the staff and i was forced to pay for a bed we dint use even tho i had spoken to someone prior about us not needing it now. thems the breaks but i was VERY VERY unhappy when they tried to cheat me and not give me the room key and they toyed with the idea of putting someon in that room with us even tho they forced me to pay for hte bed. NOT happy about them making double off one bed!! dodgy! wouldnt stay again to b honest.. put me right off.

Liked: Everything was fantastic! I was surprised by the atmosphere and all the facilities for that prise, the location is perfect, they've got cool kithen on the top of the building with large terrace, gym, tv space, internet, cool bar-restaurant, a lot of offers and discounts for the travellers.. and fantastic and friendly staff:)) awesome!

Liked: very friendly and helpful staff, extremly nice kitchen, sufficient number of showers/bathrooms, rooms are more soundproof than in similar hostels

Disliked: nothing really important, but it would have been nice to be able to shut down the airconditioning

Liked: The bar and restaurant attached had half priced meals, cheap drinks and s great atmosphere. The location is fantastic, easy walking distance to everything. Great clean rooms too.
