Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful even for the smallest issues. Nothing was too much trouble for them including when we asked to be moved rooms due to the construction downstairs. 5* to everyone including the domestic staff in helping with directions etc.
Disliked: The website said there would be construction noise between 0700 & 1600: I guess I didn't realise how noisy living next to a construction site would be. I would definitely go back there AFTER construction is over

Liked: Nice rooms, tidy facilities (those not under rebuilding of some sort).
Disliked: The rebuilding. Noisy and annoying. No free WiFi.

Liked: property was nice. i had own locker, towel, book light and little shelf.
Disliked: cleanliness!!! i had 7 bag bites on my legs...and my friend got as many as me. i believe it is because the sheets were not really clean. invisible insect must have been there... basically i put much emphasis on cleanliness when i stay in the hostel. that's why i rated so bad.

Liked: The rooms were modern and spacious, with huge individual lockers. Facilites were clean throughout.
Disliked: The staff couldn't be more rude. They do a great job making you feel as if you're disturbing them with a simple question. No free Internet, no breakfast, not enough room in the kitchen.

Liked: The facilities, games room, movie room... The key card security features and the nice renovated rooms makes me forget that i'm in a hostel until i realize there's 5 other people in the room.
Disliked: Undergoing renovations currently. Once i wake up in the morning about 9am i cant go back to slp.

Liked: Excellent location
Disliked: Currently undergoing refurbishment, which wasn't mentioned when we booked online, so half of the place was literally a building site, with building work starting about 7am - EARLY after a night out! They have a *temporary* kitchen in place, which is a bit small and grubby. Once the renovations have been done, the place will be vastly improved though, to be fair; new kitchen and they are adding a rooftop restaurant and spa area.

Liked: Beds were comfy - however this was more than outweighed by the negatives (e.g. horrible kitchen and unfriendly staff).
Disliked: Kitchen unfit for purpose; poor communal areas; you need to hire plates and cutlery; no alcohol allowed on premises (even kitchen); staff unfriendly and unhelpful; bathrooms look like public toilets - and altho cleaned regularly, the cleaning process involves spraying them down with bleach (which isn't rinsed or wiped down properly afterwards). No atmosphere.

Liked: pretty good facilities, gym, movie theatre and all. very modern, very clean, A/C in rooms. probably nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Disliked: was under renovation at the moment, kitchen was mainly unusable (only microwaves to prepare food with). loud construction noise at 9am on a saturday morning! suppose it will be better soon. there's wifi, but it's not free and there seemed to be constant trouble staying logged in with the service.

Liked: Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Good location in the city, just a little off city centre to avoid the crowd and noise at weekend nights.
Disliked: Hot water ran out mid-shower in a few occasions. Didn't take long to get more hot water up, but wasn't fun having to wait for the hot shower to kick up again. Renovation currently underway, workers starting their drills etc at the earliest of morning.
