Liked: brilliant value for money in the single room and great location. was a bit noisy but i was so tired from sightseeing at the end of the day it didnt stop me sleeping. would recommend this property.

Liked: The location was good, however the hostel wasn't. Even though you need to swipe your card 4 times to get to your room door, I wouldn't consider it a safe place, as someone messed our private room up (it was defenitely nobody to clean the room). Fortunately we did not have valuables there, so nothing was missing. Facilities are not great, only some dishes (and they are dirty) in the kitchen etc. Kitchen is in the basement without any atmosphere. Towel costs 8 AUD extra and if you want to leave you backpack for a few hours after checkout, you need to pay for a locker (5 or 7 AUD, depending on the size). There is no baggage storage. Cannot recommend the place, I am sure, there are better around...

Liked: Absolutly great! But I have to say that I stayed on the 3rd floor (obviously the best, because everything is new).

Liked: The chick on reception from Perth was really nice... the guy the following morning could learn a lot from her.. the hostel itself was a little strange - more of like a floor of enclosed office cubicles but it wasnt a negative point - apart from that the location and security was great - they could do with cutting down on the threatening signs though - like the "no refunds under any circumstances" on the reception bench - could put people off if the hostel has no faith in people not wanting refunds...

Liked: Receptionist in evening i arrived 28/07/09 had excellent customer sercive skills & next day the guy & lady at reception were very friendly & guy very helpfull regarding the locker issue, came up & assisted me with my problem. I had a nap in the lounge with no probs before i had to go even though i had checked out. People in place were nice, quiet, reserved, & friendly. Room i was in was spotless clean, Bed comfy, sheets very clean. They could do with a little more shelving in showers. Only thing which FREAKED me out was someone coming into my room middle of the night to check room. - We'r all adults here, we respect each other have a little respect. Felt like i was in borading school. Apart from that, staff excellent, friendly, hospilital, great place to stay in melbourne;) (unlike Brisbane-Valley Prince)
