Liked: Availability of female only dorm Central Location Proximity to the Southern Cross Station (airport link) 24 hour reception Friendly, helpuf staff who helped with looking after valuables after I checked out.

Disliked: Availability of a lift would be an improvement - carying heavy suitcases upstairs was not fun. Shower facility is a bit crammed, and everythig got wet while showering as there was shelft remote enough to keep clothes dry.

Liked: The location is convientent for travelling to suburb & airport. Staffs are friendly & helpful.

Liked: Great location especially for Southern Cross Station,Plenty of free tea/ coffee facilities,Price great,

Disliked: Location is in a bit of a 'known' ceedy part of the town, some strange people lurking around outside, can be a bit off putting for females especially. Cleanliness not very good at all, kitchen needs to be bigger as it seems everyone wants to use it all at the same time and most people ignore the rule of cleaning up as you go along so food, etc left lying around. They need more mugs in the kitchen also as so many have handles missing, not enough for the amount of people passing through. The dorms were generally good apart from they desperately need more plug/ power points for charging of phones, etc. Even if they just got more extension leads/ adapters as a cheaper option.

Liked: very well situated for anyone arriving late/early from airport and coming in to southern cross station

Disliked: arived and room i had booked was full, which was annoying to discover when its 1am and your tired from a long flight. got moved to a smaller room which was good but sheets were old and ripped on the bed. average hostel.

Liked: A quiet, clean and friendly hostel in a great location. Opposite central station so perfect for buses and trains as well as airport transfers. I was able to check in at 8.30am, allowed to have a free breakfast and go to bed after an overnight bus journey fcrom Sydney. The free breakfast the following morning consisted of the usual toast, cereal tea/coffee but there were also sausages on offer and plenty of fresh fruit.

Disliked: Some people, looking for a party atmosphere may find this hostel too quiet, but it was perfect for me.

Liked: I didnt like this hostel. First night in Australia and I wake up eaten alive by bed bugs. Looked like I had he measels. This continued until I bought bug spray and blitzed the bed. The dorm was dark and the common room seemed under ground level meaning no sunlight came in. There are better hostels in Melbourne. Free food is ok here. Nice when your saving money. Internet is only free for 20minutes a day and you have to pay for wi-fi on your own computer. Lots of the lockers do not work.

Liked: On King Street, and only a few blocks from Southern Cross station. Lockers available for each bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Liked: Perfectly located place right in the heart of Melbourne and convenient when coming from the airport to Southern Cross Station. 16-bed dorms are a pain, though and bathrooms aren't always clean.
