Liked: Good location, staff we're helpful and friendly

Disliked: rooms were a bit run down, bathroom was not clean and was without toilet paper for two days. The kitchen is a bit grubby, computers for Internet access are on their last legs.

Liked: The price is pretty cheap and you are nice and close to the beach. Its takes less than half an hour to get to the city on the tram. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The kitchen is far too small and gets messy really quickly (although this is down to other backpackers not cleaning up after themselves). There weren't enough lockers for each person in the room and although there is an en suite bathroom in the rooms it would have been better if the toilet and shower were separate as there are no other bathrooms in the hostel you can use if someone is taking a shower.

Liked: Perfect location. Pub and night club underneath the hostel.

Disliked: Kitchen is not big enough. Also a bathroom into a room is good but when you are 10 people in one room and the toilet is also into the bathroom you have to wait ages...really annoying.

Liked: Sorry there was nothing to like about this property!

Disliked: Absolutely filthy! The kitchen never had any clean dish towels or paper towels, and the washing sponge looked like it had been there for years. The kitchen was always a mess and the rooms weren't any better. My eight-bed dorm was tiny - a complete dive, and there were only three lockers for eight people. I had a horrible time at this hostel and would never wish it upon my worst enemy!! Stay at Base down the street - it will be way cleaner.

Liked: The rooms were very clean and modern and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. It had really good kitchen facilities and free breakfast. The receptionist was gorgeous and marriage material.

Disliked: A bit out of the way from the city centre but easily accessible by tram. The bar downstairs didn't really seem like a backpacker sort of place but more for locals. As previously mentioned one of the staff members was very rude. The cook I think it was. He welcomed us into the bar one hungover morning by blaring in our faces and telling me to f*cking smile. Liked: Bar is just downstairs with extraordinary meals. Huge portions of lasagna, steak, burger for around 10$ and a funny guy in the kitchen. Close to the transport, nice ensuite bathrooms, great shared kitchen equipment and friendly stuff.

Disliked: Internet was breaking and I guess we just visited during a really low season because the atmosphere was rather depressing

Liked: The nightlife was cool, cheap decent food downstairs, beautiful english girl behind the counter.

Disliked: BEDBUGS!!! i only stayed 2 nights at the property and i liked almost everything about it. It was a little tiresome to have to listen to club music until 2 or 3 in the morning but it was really well sound proofed so it only bothered me when it was silent in the room. That being said, i have never been attacked by so many bed bugs in my life. my back and side has probably 50 bites from 2 nights. Terrible. So one really bad problem that is relatively easy to fix. good luck guys it was great besides the horrible infestation.

Liked: Each bedroom had ensuite

Disliked: Rude staff, one memeber of staff was rude to me when i asked for another key, my friend and i only had one between us. He told us to come back later and sort it then after he had been very short and rude. I came back later to find the reception closed, got the attention of a unhelpful barman, who then got some gut to sort my key out.When i tried to explain to him how the other man had been rude he replied with "i dont want to hear your story love". The kitchen was filth, hardly any utensils, no place to chill, just not the best really!

Liked: nice bar below, clean rooms and kitchen, easy to walk into town or get tram, nice beach / pier walk and near to f1 track

Disliked: you can hear music from bar in the rooms but this is only at weekends and its not that loud - you can still sleep

Liked: The rooms are all really new and have nice bathrooms. We ended up with some dickheads in our room but the staff were really helpful and moved us to a much nicer room. In hindsight, probably should have booked one of these to begin with.

Disliked: There is a club/bar downstairs and possibly somewhere else where a lot of noise seeps through. If you're tired enough you don't notice it or if that's what you're after from a hostel they give you discounts.
