Liked: The location is awesome. Because it's near the beach ,super markets and a mall. If we'd like to use internet,we can go to library near the backpacker.

Disliked: The room isn't clean.Someone's hair are on the bed.... A receptionist is bad mood. When I asked her somethings,she answered with displeasure.

Liked: I was really surprised how friendly the staff was and other travellers too. Also the builgind and colourfull decoration was nice! I also liket the athmosphere in Cotton Tree backpackers.

Disliked: Actually I have nothing to complain, Cotton tree was just perfect for my purpose.

Liked: The hostel was recommended by another backpacker as a great place by the beach to chill out and catch a wave or two. It's an old wooden building that has a homely feel. It's quite small and they don't take big groups so although it was friendly it wasn't too noisy at night. They definitely don't encourage parties - and that was fine with me. The beach is a short walk away and the hostel has free surf and body boards.

Liked: Hostel right across the road from Cotton Tree Park where my friends got married. Fantastic location and lovely old building with lots of character. Nice friendly staff who went out of their way to help and a homely feel. Basic but very clean with free use of bikes and surfboads.

Liked: I believe the staff were very helpful (which made up for the awful run-down condition of the hostel).I also highly rate the free use of surfboards, kayaks & bikes that are on offer to use.

Liked: It's across from a surfing beach and they have boards you can borrow.They don't like loud partiers out front after dark, so be prepared to go out...!

Liked: Staff was friendly. Hostel is located opposite a river where you can swim. Walking distance to the beach and Cotton Tree village. Watched heaps of DVDs that the hostel lets you watch for free :)

Liked: The manager Gayle is lovely! And there were lots of nice longer-term stayers there, who were staying while they did some fruit picking. Everyone was nice and we had a great time. Would have liked to stay longer!The location is great, right near the beach and shops, and our private double room was neat and tidy. The kitchen facilities are great, and the free bikes and other freebies are good too, although we didn't get a chance to use them!
