Liked: Excellent shower!

Disliked: Small rooms. Good place to stay the night, but that's it.

Liked: The staff were really helpful, offering advice on what to do not only in Launceston, but also abroad

Disliked: Atmosphere was so-so, the set-out didn't really allow for people to mix- it could be quite segregated at times.

Liked: The atmosphere was great-- the movie system and laundry system were great and there was adequate space for lots of people to feel comfortable.

Disliked: The fact that reception closed fairly early (8 pm)

Liked: Very nice. Clean, bright, enjoyable. Close to everything in town.

Disliked: Only one washing machine/dryer.

Liked: Great and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the charm of the historic building as well. Loved the cleanliness of the place!

Disliked: Was a bit cold a night with just one heater to share in the dorm room.

Liked: Good location. It was cheap.

Disliked: Finding hair left in my bed that clearly wasn't mine. Bathrooms needed mopping as the floors were very dirty. While not the fault of the place, I was kept awake until 1am by other girls in the room leaving the light on and talking. Having no staff on site, or way to contact someone makes it difficult to gain support if there is a conflict.

Liked: Lovely old building with lots of history, good kitchen, lounge room etc, and bottle shop just around the corner. Really friendly staff - Fiona is lovely!!!

Disliked: Nothing, it was great, very clean, super friendly staff..... it's a great place

Liked: Didn't stay long and it was off season so not representative but I liked the decor of the place. I arrived to find everyone in the TV room watching movies. One negative comment is that they charged for blankets but given this Tasmania in winter this should be included as given....

Liked: unfortunately you have to hire linen.....and you really do need to because it is quit cold in tas but the hostel itself ist wonderful! very clean and nice and only a five minute walk from launceston city

Liked: Great heritage building right on the water. Very clean bathrooms. Well-maintained kitchen and good common area for meeting people. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Charming old house but the old locks on the room doors can be a bit noisy and the common area where people eat had alot of crumbs on some of the tables...

Liked: Great place to stay. The hostel has lots of character and it really clean and secure. The staff were very helpful and really friendly. There is a lot of information available on things to do in Tasmania and it's just a short walk into town. Be sure to use the brand new bathrooms on the second floor (-:

Liked: Very nice place to stay. Built in 1888 this hostel made me feel like I was back in my home town. The staff was very kind and helpful. The washer and dryer worked very well. Both kitchens were clean. Showers and bath rooms very clean. Very nice lounge rooms. Only downside was there were no safe lockers in the room I stayed at.

Liked: The building has a great sense of character and with 2 TV rooms a kitchen table and an outside smoking area there's loads of places to relax and meet people. Seems to be somewhere a lot of people stay either on their way into or out of Tas so ya get to hear of good places to go and see.
