Liked: Friendly local owner, always giving good advice regarding what to do on the island. Clean facilities. Not many rooms, so not overcrowded in the kitchen/lounge.

Disliked: No internet access.

Liked: The owner is very friendly. Good value for money

Disliked: No internet. They dont answer on e-mails. We booked 48 hrs in advance but they claimed it was not in their data until the day after we arrived (however it was no problem get our room in time). Rooms not very sound proof

Liked: Bob, the owner takes care of the guests. Really nice guy.

Disliked: Some improvements can be made to add to the greatness of the stay, like some cardboard games, more tv channels and a dvd player.

Liked: location

Disliked: The kitchen area and the adjoining lounge were filthy as hell. There was dirt everywhere. I've travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels around the globe but that hostel was really dirty. There was staff to clean everything up but they rather enjoyed a nice smoke outside. You can get better value on the island if you look around...

Liked: Only hostel in Kingscote. Small town with very little to do in town.

Liked: Good location, clean facilities, clean sheets, nice tv area. Doors not locked at anytime, anyone could walk in, but seemed a fairly safe area so it didnt worry me, but i was with a group. Bob (owner/manager) very friendly and helpful!

Liked: Great budget option in the middle of Kingscote. No tours on offer so make sure you arrange all that or book a car before arriving. The owner a real friendly and chatty guy.

Liked: The location is great within Kingscote, we had a private room which we could lock when we left to go sightseeing for the day. There is a fire place that is frequently stocked up that heats the lounge which is great to come back to during our stay in winter, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
