Liked: spacious and good sitting bright area, good bathrooms.

Disliked: wish while the carpark is so empty at the back, and the manager has the mercy of letting the customers park the car if there is space in . But felt cold and not a chance of putting the car in for a night, so i don't think i would suport TRANSIT again next time. Maybe Frog or others instead..

Liked: Simple, no fuss. Lots of showers and toilets.

Disliked: Kitchen too busy. Lounge doesn't have much character.

Disliked: It was horrible people are making a lot of noise, the room smelled horrible, in the morning the shower was ice cold. Never go here again!

Liked: The staff were fabulous (and maybe a little crazy) but so kind and helpful! It had all the facilities any traveler would require and overall a great place to stay!

Disliked: The TV reception in out room was pretty dodge but still watchable!

Liked: Location was OK.

Disliked: In Room 1, opens right onto very noisy communal area. No fan in room, incredibly hot. Shocking mattresses and pillows. Incredibly squeaky beds, short reception hours. Will never stay here again.

Disliked: Some tennants look like homeless locals. They may stay temporarily there.

Liked: was quiet and nice location.

Disliked: rooms very small, and smelt on first day. no window either. has potential to be great hostel, but just looks old and worn out. needs a lift in reception, kitchen area and bathrooms. rooms dingy but do the job in that you get a good sleep.....

Disliked: As above. plus windows that are locked shut with out the option of opening them. The general unkeptness.

Liked: Lovely helpful staff - they put on a great free barbecue for Australia Day, too. A great atmosphere.

Disliked: Kitchen not very hygenic - fridges dirty and bulging and only one tap for washing up - a recipe for disaster. Loos not very clean, either, and no storage in the private rooms.

Disliked: really bad condition (everything) no windows in twin private room (so no air at all)

Liked: Centrally located close to city. Nice area at back with pool table and dart board.

Disliked: Room resembled a small broom closet without a window. Parking was a nightmare as the carpark is rented out to local businesses and parking metres are atrociously expensive. The kitchen was always a mess.

Liked: It's a very nice, clean and modern backpacker with good prices as well within walking distance to the city centre of Hobart. Would come again.

Disliked: Lockers for valuables would be great.

Liked: Nothing really, everything seems to be a mess. They don't know what is going on half the time.

Disliked: On arrival there was no one at reception, had to sit around for 4 hours, still no one arrived. Then I just found a bed slept for the night, and spoke to them in the morning.

Liked: Close to the centre of town and bus stations.

Disliked: Where to begin - brusque and unhelpful staff. We booked a private double that upon entering had an incredibly strong smell of chemicals, as if nail polish remover had been spilled. Went to open the window; but there wasn't one! I suspect our room was a closet in another time. Dirty sheets that I had to take back to be replaced, a large hole in the floor that had a bin in front of it to try and hide it. No window was a big issue however; a fire hazard, a summer hazard and I'm fairly sure not legal. Very poor value for money.

Liked: hostel wise its a good place to stay. you get what you pay for

Disliked: no lockers or much room for your stuff, but it seems like a pretty safe place and what do you want for $19/night?

Liked: Excellent hostel with amazingly helpful staff

Disliked: no soap in toilets and showers sometimes run cold when water is used elsewhere in the hostel

Disliked: no hot water nor pressure in the showers, ants in the bathroom, no ventilation in the room, disgusting kitchen, noisy at night and in the morning, very unclean sheets and matress, generally a bad facility
