Liked: I liked the location and the friendliness of the staff.

Disliked: rooms were very hot, no fly screens so I got destroyed by mosquitos at night, showers weren't the best either

Liked: There was a good vibe from the other people staying there, you can tell the long termers keep themselves in their groups but generally everyone was lovely. You get what you pay for there its not pretty but it does the job!

Disliked: Too hot!! They need aircon or something desperately trying to get ready for a night out and you are sweating constantly had to get outside asap! The mattresses could do with a change and the place need s a bit of a spruce up. My friend hit her head getting off a top bunk and cut her head open on a fan. Staff was unsympathetic didnt even ask if she was ok. She also didnt get her $20 key deposit back after choosing not to stay another night. (pre arranged the night before) This bed could easily have been sold on because it was a busy weekend.

Liked: TV room was good, ample kitchen facilities, good location

Disliked: Lock on dorm door was broken, The other people in our dorm had been their a while and it was a bit of a mess, the hostel should enforce its "keep tidy" rules.

Liked: The accomodation is basic, but facilities were adequate with a comfortable tv and computer room. Kitchen good also, enough to get by on. Wed is clean up day and definately felt cleaner towards end of week. It felt comfortable and like home after a couple of days. The 4 room dorm big enough, Well situated.

Disliked: It is in need of new caret in rooms and a few repairs like fixing door latches and windows so they can open right up to allow breeze. Fans that work would also be good.

Liked: NOTHING me and my partner considered sleeping outside

Disliked: dirty, didnt give us the proper beds, no toilet roll and smelly

Liked: The hostel had really good kitchen facilities, the rooms are nice and clean, and it's a very central location.

Disliked: There didn't actually seem to be many backpackers. Lots of older locals have set up home there, including a guy with dimentia, and therefore the stmoshpere is rather strange. We did see a mouse in our room at one point. This wasn't due to the room being dirty, more because it was on the ground floor and the kitchen door was constantly left open. The gentleman that had lived in our room for the past year however, did not seem at all phased by this mouse which disappeared under his bed.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Everything seemed broken, the showers were terrible, the rooms were very smelly and both rooms and toilets were not very clean at all.

Disliked: Staff were over concerned with rules and regulations and seemed to forget that people were on holiday!

Liked: location

Disliked: too many permanent residents, people who should be in aged care facilities or a more specialized institution. I attach no blame whatsoever to the YHA for this, but a city as wealthy as freo is surly capable of looking after its elder residents better than this.

Liked: It was the only place in town that had a vacancy.

Disliked: Property is delapidated. One toilet shared by about 20 rooms on our flour, whole place is dirty, showers run hot then cold, leaky plumbing, cockroaches.

Liked: It's location was great.

Disliked: No free Wi-fi. There was no lock on the toilet doors, just a brick. Our light was constantly flickering. The staff were often not there when I needed something and there wasn't a 24 hour reception. There was also a police incident that left us rather concerned about our safety.

Liked: We have stayed in hotels for cheaper. The door was hangin onto the latch and the toilet had a brick holdin it shut!!!!!!!

Liked: Fremantle is a great place. The kitchen facilities and cinema room were a good added bonus compared with some other hostels

Disliked: The lack of power points/electricity points in the room. I know hostels are meant to be basic but when comparing the cost to other hostels of the same price who also offer air conditioning and other basic facilities this hostel did not live up to standards.

Liked: location

Disliked: not properly managed. charge extra for internet (at quite high rate, sth like $4 for an hour) and also charge extra for luggage storage ($1 for an hour), which has to be included in your budget.

Liked: The location was very central.

Disliked: No lockers with locks in room, no ladders on the bunk beds-made it very difficult if you were short to get up. Very basic.

Liked: Table tennis table and decent kitchen

Disliked: Everything else. Rude staff!! Dirty showers, stuff spread in rooms by other people, not enough lockers, film night far too loud.
