Emus Beach Resort is a brand new Backpacker Resort, opening on 18 October 2008. Emus is on the Capricorn Coast, with the closest main city being Rockhampton. We are the perfect stop between Hervey Bay or 1770 and Airlie Beach. Across the road from the beautiful beach that overlooks Great Keppel Isle

Emus Beach Resort is a brand new Backpacker Resort, opened on 18 October 2008, with NO BUNK BEDS!!

We are on the Capricorn Coast, with the closest main city being Rockhampton. Therefore, we are the perfect stop between Hervey Bay or 1770 and Airlie Beach.

We have dorm rooms available with 3 single beds in each, with ceiling fans and screens. Downstairs from the dorm rooms, is a large communal kitchen and a great common room with TV, tables and chairs, games etc. Perfect place to relax!!

We also have built brand new motel style units, with 4 beds in each room all with private bathroom facilities and a private balcony overlooking the pool and bar area.

We have a bar and heated pool within the resort complex. The bar features a big screen satellite TV, to enable you to see every sporting event possible. Having a heated pool enables you to swim all year round, even in the cooler winter months.

An internet cafe and laundry facilities are available on site as well.

Emus Beach Resort is situated directly across the road from one of the most beautiful beachs on the coast, which overlooks Great Keppel Island. Therefore we are the gateway to Great Keppel Island, where you can snorkel the Great Barrier Reef straight off the beaches.

Emus Beach Resort is only a short walk from the main street of Emu Park, which you can stroll along the beach to access or via the footpaths, both will lead you straight into town.

Accommodation Information

Beach House Dorms are 3 interconnecting rooms of 3 beds in each. Shower and toilet facilities are located downstairs and are shared between the 3 rooms.
Resort Dorms are 4 King Single ensemble beds in a motel style room, with private bathroom, flat screen tv and private balcony.
Private Double rooms are motel style with private bathroom, flat screen tv and balcony overlooking the swimming pool.

Location Information

Emus Beach Resort is located across the road from one of the best beaches on the Capricorn Coast, overlooking Great Keppel Island. Emu Park is 40km from Rockhampton and 16km south of Yeppoon. Emus Beach Resort is within a few minutes walk to the main street, shops and restaurants of Emu Park. Koorana Crocodile Farm is close by as well as Rosslyn Bay, which is the harbour to take you to Great Keppel Island.
