Liked: Nice staff at the reception and safety.

Disliked: Mess at the kitchen. Moreover, kitchen was not very well equipped. There was no hot water in the evening. It was warm, but not warm enough to make your bath comfortable.

Liked: I liked the location and how safe it was. Plenty of locks and very quiet rooms. Mostly friendly staff, bathrooms were clean, I had a great time here!

Disliked: One staff member was horribly rude and it seemed like I was inconveniencing her. But another one took over the situation and was so friendly and sweet, even helped me carry somethings up to my room! The bed I stayed in didn't seem very stable at all, but it didn't collapse, so all good.

Liked: It was easy to get to, and the staff were helpful. They allowed me to store my bicycle securely, but it was not easy to access (I would need a staff member to unlock a back gate).

Disliked: It is seriously worn and under-maintained. In my dorm room, there was no storage (cupboards, hanging space, lockers), a curtain rod broken so the street lights shone in, light-shade missing, door lock not fixed properly. There was a single stove in the kitchen, insufficient storage (two fridges stuffed full, and all shelves), no spoons or bowls. There was insufficient communal space: rundown lounges on a small balcony for smokers and a tiny lounge with tv. While there, I tried to fix the curtain in my room by pulling it across to a vertical pipe with an elastic strap, to reduce light shining in at night.

Disliked: Everythign ! It was full with rubbish and insects ! And the room and kitchen Tv room etc everything was in a very very bad condition !

Liked: was very satisfied with the location of the backpackers. clean room.

Disliked: the light bulb in the bathroom was not replaced. had to go in pairs to the toilet at it was dark. but that wasn't the main problem. it did not cater any doona and the receptionist didn't even mentioned about the doonas or how to rent them.

Liked: Clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful even with my early arrival!

Disliked: Nothing bad - maybe some warmer colours in the rooms but everything necessary was there - would reccomend to others.

Liked: It was cheap and really close to the Redline bus.

Disliked: Getting charged for a doona is one thing, but mine was dirty when she gave it to me and the floor in our room looked a fright. It was, however, very cheap, the staff for the most part were very helpful (I had to check out at 7 the next morning) and if I found myself in Devonport again I probably wouldn't mind staying there again.

Liked: - Cheap accomodation - Always soap and paper towels in the bathrooms - Sink and mirror in the room - Friendly staff

Disliked: - The girls' bathroom incl. showers & toilets was often flooded - People there seemed very introverted and not interested in getting to know new people - No free parking options nearby (only at night)

Liked: It was cheap and close to the ferry terminal.

Disliked: All of the doors slam. Things weren't very clean especially the poor hygiene of showering in water ankle deep still from the previous person. Having to wait 20 mins for someone to give the key back to. The wind and rain coming in the bathroom windows. The trip hazard of carpets worn through. Staff weren't friendly or helpful when I arrived or when I left. I felt like me being there was a hassle to the staff. When entering the premises from the car park at the rear there is no signage to tell you where to check in.

Disliked: it was cold..no heaters in rooms...the microwave didnt work..in kitchen ..the kitchen was so dirty I didnt use it...Bathrooms were dirty. no laders to get to top bunks. I wouldnt go there again.

Liked: It was clean, and cheap and conveniently situated. However, it was absolutely freezing, so wouldn't recommend staying in winter like I did... Take blankets. No doubt would be fine in summer though.

Liked: I liked this property because they were friendly, had decent facilities (apart from not having a can opener, and a lack of hot water). It was pretty clean and neat. It was cheap (however we booked a double room over the hostel bookers website and when we got there the price we were quoted was for a twin room!! which made it harder to budget for our holiday)

Disliked: Mhairi left no negative feedback.
