Liked: The location of the hostel is ideal and it has a nice terrace on the first floor. Really cool atmosphere in the reception area

Disliked: It had an unpleasant smell in the corridors but that's it

Disliked: One the most expensive and worst Hostels in which I ever was. 12pm banishing of the Terasse, dirty, small rooms!

Liked: Located right in the centre of Darwin.

Disliked: Staff could be more friendly. Bathrooms quite dirty because highly frequented by a lot of peolpe on one floor. Tools for cooking have to be hired (not even pots are in the kitchen) Also stayed one night in the partner hostel "Youth Shack" 20m down the road. Quite similar there, but even dirtier...

Disliked: staff were rude and unhelpful. Customer service training desperately needed. Just because it is a backpackers doesn't mean you can treat people less than average. i will not reccommend this place to anyone.

Liked: Free breakfast, great location,

Disliked: The iron didn't work, they didn't have blankets so had to sleep on a bottom sheet, Paid for towel hire but they didn't have any towels available. General shortage of everything.

Liked: Good location in centre of town.

Disliked: Rooms were cramped, windows were open letting in all the steamy humid air, so the mattresses were damp and it took a long time for the aircon to kick in and cool the place down. Not enough toilets on the floor. Kitchen way too small for number of people, shelves in fridge were broken so there was not enough food storage space. Extremely noisy.

Liked: Surprisingly quiet in the rooms.

Disliked: Staff were very disorganised and unfriendly. They couldn't find my booking, they put me in a room that was full up, and generally spent a long time trying to sort things out. Have faintly ridiculous kitchen system where you swap key for pots and pans.

Liked: Some friendly staff in reception.

Disliked: Bathroom floors were dirty and the general appearance was out dated. Wish I had booked into the Youth shack...very young and lively and it had a pool. All their facilities were modern and clean.

Liked: I guess the location was tops.

Disliked: The dirty bathrooms,being booked in a 4 dorm but was put in a 6 room dorm.Which turn out ok because there was always a spare bed.The Reception staff could do with a good dose of customer service.One young guy in particular had a attitude towards his job.Housekeeping ladys were lovely.No free internet.

Liked: 1) friendly and helpful crew2) excellent location, where supermarket Coles is just next door3) stone throw to food, drinks, amenities, and most importantly walkable to many places of interests (example Chinese temple, Govt House, Old Admiralty House, The Mall, beach, Esplanade, car rentals etc)

Liked: Nice place but not much personality. Beds were comfy but the bunk beds were noisy and the corridors were pretty noisy at night too. Hot tubs worked treat but the kitchen area is annoying as you have to make deposits for everything. I would stay here again, a mixed bag altogether :-)

Liked: Extremely rude staff, refused to turn down music in reception/internet area for people using Skype.Not very clean, ask for ridiculous $30 deposit for linen and key.
