Liked: the staff were extremely friendly and gave great advice on tours and even got us a discount. the place has a great atmosphere and is less crowded than a lot of other hostels. spotlessly clean bathrooms!

Disliked: nothing, this place is great!

Liked: Backpackers friendly. Room with shower.

Disliked: Could be a little cleaner in outside area. Backpackers disregarded requests for quiet after 10.00pm. Constant noise all night.

Liked: Helpful staff, hammocks pool and relaxed

Disliked: Expensive internet and a bit out of the way about 30 minute walk to the marina/sea/lagoon

Liked: nice terrace; discounts when booking a tour;free meal was a bit small, but ok (and no pressure to buy a drink - they even provided free tapwater)

Liked: This place was awesome, we booked and paid to stay in a 14 bed dorm, and they put us in a double room!!! its pretty close to town and you get a free evening meal (at the woolshed), it was only spag bol or chilli con carne (vegetarian options aswell), but was still pretty good and beats cooking any day!!!

Liked: First when we got to our rooms we were shocked beacuse the showers were in a room. But no worries there is also a private shower. The staff is very friendly, they book all your tours. You also get a coupon for a free dinner in the best pub called Woolshed.

Liked: A solid hostel in a 'beach house' type setting though not off the beach. Rooms have character but ants kept on getting into ours. A 15 minute walk from the esplanade/restaurants/bars, etc. The best thing about the hostel is that they book all tours for 10% off. Also the coupon for a free/cheap meal at the local backpacker's bar was appreciated as the restaurant options in Cairns are really pricey.

Liked: Excellent!! Really nice rooms, friendly staff, very cheap, free meals!!The only issue is the location, but it is just a 15 minutes walk to the centre, its really worth it!

Liked: They offer free dinners which are quite easy ones but you can take the shuttle to downtown as it is a little bit away from the central. Btw, Brea is very helpful and you can get 10% off for booking tours.
