Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful, nice relaxed atmosphere- the garden area was great to chill out in, hammocks and mini-pool.

Liked: funky, laid back atmosphere, i liked how the accomodation blocks were overlooking the yard, how you could look over to other buildings. It made the layout look better.

Liked: Very good value for money. Stayed in budget double and would definately recommend it to anyone wanting a private double. Although further away than other central hostels it is still only a ten minute walk to the front of cairns. Also had the added bonus of parking.

Liked: The property was a nice quiet place, but near enough to the centre to walk in. The free dinner offered at the Woolshed was good and made the hostel even better value. There were ants in the bedrooms and kitchen area which wasn't very nice. A free storage area for bags would have been appreciated, especially with such large amounts of travllers going on multi-day diving trips.

Liked: I enjoyed my stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpfull, all apart from the cleaning lady whose manner was quite rude. It has a barbeque for a true Aussie dining experience (though no oven) and a pool to cool off in after. Its only a short walk into town.

Liked: Good location, a short walk away from centre of Cairns. Hostel is beautifully presented with lots of outdoor space. Double rooms are really nice and reception really helpful. Great value for money.

Liked: Although the beds at this hostel were very uncomfortable, it was really good value for money, with a fully equipped kitchen (including oven), an actual bath, a great book exchange and DVDs to borrow. They also provided a free dinner voucher for a bar in town, which if you upgrade for a few dollars was excellent food.
