Liked: The people who worked there were so ridiculously friendly and helpful. They were awesome, the nicest I've had in my three months of travelling :)

Disliked: Not all hobs worked in the kitchen but it was fine cause they offer free brekkie and dinner anyway so never busy can use working ones :) If they worked though, massive kitchen, fully equipped :)

Liked: We had an amazing time staying at the Asylum in Cairns!!! Our flight arrived a little on the late side but there was a free shuttle taking us in and friendly staff waiting to assist! From there the party began! We were instructed as to where to keep our alcohol.. (plenty of fridges for that) HUGE kitchen! multiple bathrooms and GREAT working AC! Staff is very helpful helping with things to do and see around town! ONE HUGE PARTY! great place to party your ass off and meet tons of cool people! Would deff stay here again!

Disliked: It was really run-down, unclean and had bed bugs.

Liked: Free tea and coffee.

Disliked: Everything. Toilets dirty. Pool doesnt look clean. The price is way over what it should be. I know you pay for what you get thats why that hostel should be $10 or less.

Liked: Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere and the staff were incredibly helpful and hilarious. Free meals are brilliant and if your their on a Monday. mad mondays is a must!!

Disliked: Nothing that isn't mentioned in the description. Could be cleaner and better kitchen but it's not an issue

Liked: hellooooo, this accomodation is a place to stay for anyone. very good vibes all over the place, nice activity's planned if you want joint. staff or so friendly and helpfull (and a hot dutch guy working over there ;-P) sure a place to recommend everyone!

Liked: BEST.HOSTEL.EVER. This was the best hostel we have ever stayed in. Met so many amazing people and had such a fantastic time, I can't recommend more. We were gutted we had to ever check out.

Disliked: If you're not a hardened backpacker then stay away. This is one for people who are genuinely up for a laugh and arn't afraid of a little bit of true traveling dirt.

Liked: Friendly staff and manager was great. Mad Monday pub crawl was fun.

Disliked: Apart from Mad Monday, difficult to meet people as full of long termers who like to hang out with each other. The facilities are pretty ropey but they say that on the description so can't really fault it. Lots of better places to stay in Cairns.

Liked: Great to not have a bunk bed! Sociable place with lots of free/cheap food and drinks offers at the Wool shed. Lots of space in communal areas and a really well equipped kitchen. It was easy to book tours through them and get a small discount. Can't fault it really, enjoyed my stay :)
