Liked: The staff of this hostel are very kind and friendly.They held BBQ and PIZZA party!!!! It's cheap and we can have a fun with other guest. We can make many friends there.

Liked: This is a true backpackers hostel. I love it. Cheap and good value for money. It is an old hostel but I got good and friendly service which the other modern and expensive hostels are not able to provide. I am treated like part of the family here. I love Asylum.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make my stay memorable which included booking my trips and driving me to the morning meeting point. It was a home away from home and it was easy to see that they really cared.

Liked: Mad Mondays are an absolute must! For just $10 you get an Asylum t-shirt, free pizza, free evening meal, 3 free drinks and the best party ever, a huge Asylum pub-crawl around Cairns. The hostel had a really good kitchen, which was very well equip and easy to use. The public areas were always lively and full of friendly people to talk to, it was good to chill out in the hammocks after all the partying, too!!
