Liked: Staff was extremely friendly, the place was very clean. Kitchen facilities on-site were great! Try to stay over a Wednesday night, every Wednesday the owner steve has a BBQ for $12 that includes all you can eat steak, sausage and salads along with crocodile and kangaroo tasting. One of the best meal values in Cairns. The BBQ also has firedancers and a digerido competition. Great place, great people.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of clean bathrooms and facilities. The hostel is a little off the beaten path, but still only a few minute walk to the city center. Overall, had a great and fun stay!

Liked: Nice place, could be cleaner (floor in room). A bit worn out-looking fabric on furniture (from the sun). Needs a bit of maintanence here and there -e.g. lock on toilet door -a hook is cheap, easily put on and do the job...Cosy environment, seems very safe. Nice and quiet. Good kitchen and laundry facilities.

Liked: I'd say that it was quiet, convenient, fun since we booked an additonal 4 nights. The convenience of a small restaurant was also helpfpul. The staff was great and very helpfpul.

Liked: Great hostel, has a lovely 'vibe', bit out of town but it really doesn't matter. Nice outside space to relax in! note to hostel: need soap in loos, and bins in the rooms!!

Liked: The best hostel I have ever stayed in. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled out, rather than a party hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again, and also recommend it to others. The only critisism would be that it did not have enough showers and toilets.
