Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The kitchen was a mess and didn't have enough cutlery and plates. Everything was run down, there was random litter such as a broken wardrobe outside of our room. The air conditioning didn't work and for maintenance there was sellotape on the ceiling! On our floor there were two bathrooms; in one of them the shower was dismantled and in the other the shower head was practically falling off the wall and couldn't withstand any water pressure. We were in a very noisy room! The staff weren't very friendly.

Liked: The dorm did not have bunk beds so felt more spacious.

Disliked: The dorm we were staying in was supposed to be a female only dorm but we woke up to find a male in a bed! Also we were supposed to get free dinner vouchers every niight of our stay but were not told this by the staff - only the other backpackers we met. When we asked for the vouchers we were entitled to the staff were not helpful or understanding in any way; so therefore we did not receive anything. The airconditioning is switched off in the rooms during the daytime. The kitchen had very little cutlery and only one fridge was working. We ended up moving hostels because of our stay at Reef.

Liked: I loved my room (12) the staff were helpful its Nice hostel, only stayed one night so so I can't really comment more. Wish I'd had the time to use the pool

Liked: We have had a great time in the Reef Hostel. Great Staff with excellent sightseeing tips. I recommend this hostel to all my friends!

Disliked: the free meal is not at the hostel its at a bar in town the food was good

Liked: It is a very relaxed place to stay and close to the city centre

Disliked: the kitchen is always dirty, there is often no toilet paper in the toilets and it doesn't seem like the bathrooms get cleaned ever at the weekends.

Liked: the guy who checked us in was friendly

Disliked: our 8 bed dorm was a complete disaster-- we had a hard time figuring out which beds were free because the other guests' things were everywhere. no one ever locked the doors-- in fact we never needed keys to get anywhere in the hostel. the mold in the showers was unbelievable! and there were open windows from which the hostel next door could look down into our stalls. there was no door leading into the bathrooms so i brushed my teeth with guys smoking, drinking, and playing pool able to look right in. the fridge in the kitchen was disgusting- i think there was a wet rotten towel in one of them. the "lockers" in our room were more like broken cabinets- so we used the dirty kitchen ones. i never saw anyone actually taking care of reception- he always had to be called. it was pretty disappointing... but we survived...

Disliked: It wasn't clean. Rooms did get cleaned, bathroom where full with moult.
