Liked: The staff are really helpful and always willing to do whatever they can to make your stay great. Also the 5 bed rooms are more like an apartment than a dorm, one of the best hostels I have stayed at!

Liked: Great staff, very helpful! Very clean facility. All common areas are cleaned daily (kitchens, bathrooms, etc.). Safe, quiet, very lovely. Clean!

Liked: I think there should be an hour maximum allowance for use of computer because it is pretty hard to get on the computer when some people hog it for several hours at a time.I really enjoyed Cairns and the owners of the hostel were great. Our next door neighbours were not the cleanest so would leave the bathroom and kitchen in a state but there isn't really too much anyone can do about that. I think checking the kitchen and the bathroom of the twin share rooms more regularly might help.

Liked: Very nice atmosphere, I stayed in a dorm room and it had an ensuite kitchen which was nice (apart from the dripping tap). Room was very clean with a good shower, and it even had a dvd player with lots of dvds. Free internet (but only 1 computer so sometimes had to wait) and nice pool and lounging area. Overall, good value for money. Also very quiet and a nice 15 minute walk along the esplanade into town.

Liked: Really nice hostel, we got great service and got upgraded to an appartment fully equiped with kitchen and ensuite. We also had our own plasma-tv and dvd player. It's clean and the staff was really helpful, on the day we left we got a ride to the airport and we got to stay in our room untill we had to leave witch was att 1 pm. They don't have any common areas but if you're looking for a quiet, clean hostel with good size rooms and great value for money, this is the place for you. Only negative thing is the location...it's a ten minute walk away from the city centre.

Liked: The rooms are well equipped (own TV & fridge!) and are very comfortable. Each group of rooms has its own kitchen and sitting room with lots of crockery and cutlery to go around and plenty of space to sit and chat. The hostel is quiet so you can get a good nights sleep, but it is a great place to meet fellow travellers.

Liked: Brian, the owner, was really helpful and went beyond what we would expect of a hostel owner. The room was also brilliant, with TV, fridge, A/C and a fan. Would highly recommend this hostel.
