Liked: Really nice hostel, modern with nice rooms and great facilities. Great that it has a big carpark and free shuttle service to and from town.

Liked: Nice place to spend one or two nights. It has a nice pool, free breakfast and staff is very nice.

Disliked: Not clean at all. Air Coindition machine was broken!

Liked: Cheap dinner! Nice comfy beds. Lots going on at the hostel. Travel desk, francis was a great help in booking tours!

Disliked: Expensive internet! Should be free wifi!

Liked: The private room with ensuite was a very reasonable price compared with other dorm rooms in Cairns.

Disliked: The location is a little bit further from the centre of Cairns than we would have liked and all staff we met were unfriendly.

Liked: Nomads Cairns is a great hostel, great private rooms, good facilities, free shuttle buses and good free breakfast and cheap dinner. Davy at the travel desk is really helpful , honest and knows what he’s doing.

Disliked: Internet is expensive and dead slow.

Liked: It had air conditioning and a free shuttle bus to the city and a pick up from the airport. The pool and the volleyball field are nice and it was quiet at night. Also the ATM and a small shop directly in the hostel are great.

Disliked: The air conditioning is a little bit too cold and breezes exactly to all beds (tried 3 rooms in total during 2 stays) and you can't lower it manually. The rooms smell a little bit although you can open a window.

Liked: I liked the pool and onsite facilities, everything there for you.

Disliked: The only thing is that the hostel is not central and have to utilise the free bus service. A minor thing but have to plan your time around the bus times.

Liked: excellent value for money, cheap bar and great food deals. Lovely walk into town along the esplanade, or free shuttle if you can't be bothered.

Disliked: Washing line was just too small for the size of the hostel and there was often no space to hang your laundry. It was also located right next to the smoking area which flavoured the scent of your wash-load. Internet access expensive.

Liked: The bar meals were cheap and good food

Liked: I liked that they kept it clean the staff were very helpful and the swimming pool was a bonus!

Disliked: The kitchen, I had a weeks worth of food stolen out of the fridge even though it was labeled. It would have been nice if there was a fridge in the room

Liked: It was very clean and proper. The stuff was nice and helpful, if you asked them.

Disliked: Breakfast to early only from 0700 to 0900. Its pretty far from the centre, nearly 3 km.

Liked: Atomospher was good and there is a bar which open until 3am belong to this backpackers.It was really good and not loudly even when gusts were sleeping in rooms.

Disliked: Receptioners were no kindly and no smile.They made us disappointed.We wanted to get a suttle bus to the airport early next morning and were expecting it,but it was late.and I asked receptioner when it come to pick us up but he didn't call shuttle bus company and he just said I don't know, should come soon... I missed flight after all!!! They don't have good behavior.I surely never gonna stay there.

Liked: Double room was comfortable, clean sheets, lovely pool and social areas. Internet access available, relatively quiet during the night.

Disliked: Location about 25 minutes walk from the city centre, shuttle bus service to and from the city poor - never arrived on time and they do not offer a service between 6 and 10 to the city which is the optimum time to visit the city to go out for a meal or for drinks. Room smelt a little.

Liked: Very clean accommodation, very friendly staff. I was travelling on my own and only staying for one night and was made to feel most welcome. I shall certainly be back for a longer stay.

Disliked: That I was only able to stay for one night (on this occasion)

Liked: it is a lot cheaper than other hostels and there is plenty of space.

Disliked: the staff were mainly backpackers and did not know very much about cairns and the area.
