Liked: staff were really friendly, rooms were big and cool

Disliked: not easy to meet other travellers expensive wi fi unable to take your own beer you have to buy it in the hostel so works out expensive

Liked: We loved it here and extended our stay....twice! The staff are friendly and helpful and offer great impartial advice when booking tours or asking about travelling in oz. There is always something on in the evenings, even a reptile night which was cool playing with snakes and lizards. There's a free hourly shuttle to town and back too. We recommend staying here!

Liked: Staff were superb in helping you with everything from booking trips to holding parcels. Great little bar/pool area. Bus every hour during the day into the city centre. Air con in all rooms.

Disliked: Was a little bit far away from the city centre. Long walk home after a night out.

Liked: Awesome and super helpful staff!!!! Fun place, lots of cool drink specials too! Clean rooms and bathrooms as well. Even had a free shuttle to take to in to town!

Liked: It was a relaxing place to be! The staff were always friendly and would help willingly. The drinks are mega cheap and the prizes for the games were of extremely good value. I had a fantastic time for the two weeks i was there and would absolutely, readily go back.

Disliked: A locker or something in the room would be nice but they do have a secure area in the lobby for luggage.

Liked: One of the best value for money hostels I stayed in in Australia. Staff were super friendly. There was a very good travel desk and when I booked some tours through them I was given a free nights accommodation.

Disliked: Little bit far from the centre of town. There was a shuttle service,but that was only once an hour. But taxis were a little bit cheaper here than in other areas in Australia.

Liked: Price, and the bar area was cool. Free shuttle bus to the airport.

Disliked: Quite a long walk into the city, although they do provide hourly buses.

Liked: the pool, the free shuttle bus, nice showers, clean kitchen, really cool set up

Disliked: was a bit of a way from centre but then there is the free shuttle bus that will take you into town

Liked: Friendly staff, would have missed my airport shuttle if was not for the staff! Showers were also really good :)

Disliked: Kitchen is very very tiny!! Only can fit a few people in it. There is no seperate chill area away from the bar.

Liked: The majority of staff were super friendly and a really nice welcome to Cairns. All facilities have very clear instructions - right down to little quirks in the gas cooktops etc. Happy hours from 5:30-6:30 and 8:30-9:30pm with $9 jugs of beer and $4 basic spirits (though they're not much more expensive outside these hours). An activity of some kind most nights - pool comp, quiz, jenga, with prizes like a Bungy Jump or a $75 bar tab - not bad for no entry charge. We had a twin room for $40 which is a bargain!

Disliked: Hiding from a particular staff member after she blasted me for getting a bit silly and jumping behind the bar to get my own drink... won't happen again :)

Liked: Very friendly staff, free shuttles into the city every hour - makes up for the fact they are not in the best location, easy to meet people, cheap breakfast in the morning, free air conditioning (and you'll need it!)

Disliked: Wi-fi is very expensive and there are lots if bugs on the hostel grounds. There was a towel left by the door to put on the ground in order to keep bugs from crawling into the room when you sleep, but a few were already in the room upon arrival.

Liked: Really liked this place. A few streets out of own but they run a shuttle bus if you can't be bothered to walk for ten minutes. Staff were great, it was really good value for money and met some nice people. Easy parking for a car too which was a plus.

Disliked: paul left no negative feedback.
