Liked: I loved the all you can eat buffet each night! Very cheap way to fill up! The rooms were very basic...our room was literally a set of bunk beds in a room and absolutely nothing else! It wasn't the cleanest of hostels, and the 'pool' was an algae ridden cest pit, but it had a party vibe and was a good place to meet people. It's a little outside the centre of Cairns, and will take a short walk (about 10-15 mins) to ge to the bars and shops.

Liked: The all you can eat dinner is actually great food.The location's very walkable into town.Courtesy bus to & from town & the airport transfers are nice & easy.

Liked: Cheap all you can eat buffet nightly. Staff was exceptional. Tour desk fantastic. Shuttle to town frequent.

Liked: Great all you can eat buffet 7 days a week, for $8. Bright clean rooms, new linen. Kitchen with plates,bowls, cutlery with no deposit required. Although not right in the centre of cairns, it is only a short walk or you can get the regular free shuttle bus to and from town.

Liked: Friendly resort with a better than average standard of room (air-con!) and a nice pool. Good all-you-can-eat buffet for only A$8 every night. Staff particularly helpful for booking trips, onward accom etc. Internet access a bit crap (badly maintained Macs) and the ATM never has any money in it, but these are minor issues.
