Liked: How cheap it was

Disliked: Beds still had sheets on from the previous occupants, so was unable to tell which beds were free!

Liked: Fun outdoor area, bar always had good music which is a change for most hostel bars ive been to staff very helpful and informed. overall i was very happy

Disliked: 15 min walk from town ... i am a bit lazy

Liked: Friendly staff, decent sized beds, clean facilities etc. Never got up in time for the free breakfast but the free meal at tequila bar was nice and the free shuttle bus all day makes it very easy to get around! Good location with lots near by and the pool is nice and clean too! Not too loud in rooms even on the weekend even though there's a busy bar! All in all, a good hostel! Ooh plus free Wifi!

Disliked: The kitchen doesn't have any pots, pans, cutlery, cups etc and is always a mess but I think yo can hire stuff if needed from reception. Also the free breakfast is only available very early!!

Liked: The Price is cheap on the first look

Disliked: It's to far from the Center. The Cerials are only 2 Weatbicks and milk for one Person and only from 7-8am. The room isn't clean every day they only put the rubbish from the bin out. Wifi only in the Bar. Free Evening Meal is a joke, i dont know who should be get full with this potion. You must pay 2$ to get a "bigger" portion. My review: Take a cheaper hostel in the center, buy your breakfast and get to the internet at Mc Donalds =)

Liked: It was cheap.

Disliked: Not very clean, and too far away from the city center; the free shuttle only left once an hour and only ran until 7 p.m. After that, you had to walk into town.

Disliked: Quite far from cairns centre but there is a free shuttle every hour running from the hostel

Liked: Free WiFi, amazing staff, free meals, free shuttle into town.

Disliked: Rooms were at times a bit dirty, but this is due to many people sharing a dorm and fellow travellers not cleaning up after themselves.

Liked: The best value for its price! The rooms were always clean. The bar and pool area was so relaxing to hang out in. Really easy to meet people. Lots of travel brochures to help you find stuff to do. A free shuttle to the shops and Esplanade once an hour til 7pm. Gets you there in less than 10 minutes. Free breakfast in the morning and free dinner at night. It was great! I didn't wanna leave!

Disliked: Showers took awhile to heat up. But it wouldn't stop me from coming back again.

Liked: A great feel to the place with a very nice and affordable bar. The price is very competitive with a free evening meal also included.

Disliked: The internet was very slow and there was no printer available in the computer room.

Liked: I liked the hammocks outside, the price and that there were options of bying food nereby

Disliked: Very dirty, staff did most often not care about service! 30 min walk to city centre. Poor beds, I will be a while recovering.

Liked: clean, big room

Disliked: staff were very rude and often ignored you when you went to reception or the bar they made the atmosphere of the place horrible

Liked: Free pick-up from the airport. Free driving to town center.

Disliked: Dirty kitchen. Probably many thefts there because in order to get frying pans or the free breakfast (very small by the way), you had to go to the reception building. The receptionist poured milk in a s small bowl and gave cornflakes. It is not very easy to walk with this small bowl full of milk back to the kitchen. And you feel bad to be treated this way. We slept in a 6bed-dorm the 1st night and asked for a single twin room for the other nights: the only room available was one with a double bed and a top bed on it, no place to move in the room, no cupboard, the shower outside to use with the backpackers of a 6bed-dorm, and the way out he room was through the dorm. So we decided not to stay longer.

Liked: Free Wifi, Breakfast and dinner were valued bonses and the dinner was actually quite nice. The staff were very friendly up until the incident mentioned below.

Disliked: The free transfers were unreliable, if you have to be somewhere get a taxi. This is not that great considering the location of the hostel is out of town. There was no apology when reception was opened late after the receptionist had been out drinking the night before, then the minibus keys were lost - all resulting in a transfer 25 minutes late and panic stations!!

Liked: The atmosphere was perfect, welcoming all young backpackers which I'm guessing is their goal. They offer free internet, breakfast/dinner, and transportation from the airport, which are all rare things to find in a budget hostel. I would absolutely recommend this place to all my friends travelling in Cairns. I wasn't sure how long I was staying in Cairns for, but upon arriving I immediately booked 2 extra nights than I'd planned. Transportation around Cairns was very easily accessible.

Disliked: It was a bit far from town, but a beautiful walk if you wanted to get there.
