Liked: Got upgraded to a private room for free. Staff were very friendly and remembered my name which was a nice touch and very helpful when it came booking any tours and activities.

Liked: Gloria on the front desk was very helpful regarding maps etc. Disappointed with the noise until 4.30am in the room above us. Also booked the same room 4 days apart and got totally different accommodation. Much better room the second time round that had a separate lounge and toilet. Make sure you ask for the larger rooms up the back of the hostel (ensuite rooms with lounge attached).

Liked: An usual back pack with the swimming pool, well-located, on the esplanade (on the waterfront, close to everything). Nice staff.

Liked: This was the first place i stayed in Cairns, it is a nice lively hostel, good atmosphere and staff are helpful and friendly. The room i stayed in was a good size and had a fridge and big huge window (which meant it got v hot at times). I would recommend this hostel to young people, 20somethings.

Liked: Aside from being a very affordable place to stay while in cairns it was also a very fun place to stay. The staff was very helpful and was attentive to the needs of their guests. The rooms and entire facility was kept very clean. I stayed in a single room which had working A/C and a refrigerator and was overall pretty good. The hostel itself has a decent sized swimming pool, communal kitchens, laundry machine, phones, and internet service. I had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through Cairns. -Brian, Fairfax Virginia USA

Liked: Great place to stay. Close to the town centre and the lagoon! Staff are very friendly and welcoming and would definitely stay here again if i came back to Cairns. Christine, Andre, the lovely young girl on reception and Gloria were all great!!

Liked: Lovely hostel with very friendly helpful staff who are always willing to help with anything and everything! The kitchen is very good in comparison to alot of hostels we have stayed in and the rooms are great value for money! Great place to stay! Love the 11 o`clock curfew if your wanting a night off the partying and an early night!

Liked: If you come to Cairns and want to be able to wake up at 6am to do all your tours then this is the place for you as it is the quietest hostel I have ever stayed in. They kick everybody out after 11pm which is no big deal as you can just go into town anyway, they offer the Woolshed food vouchers but make sure that you do the upgrade as it is definitely worth it. The staff are good at booking tours and the location is quite good for the price
