Liked: I loved my 4 share room with air con! It was a life saver. The staff was also very helpful when I arrived at 4 am :-)

Liked: The rooms, bathroom and kitchen were kept extremely clean and tidy. The staff were lovely! Really friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome. Nice place for a good nights sleep. Great location. Highly recommended.

Liked: Very good if ur on a low budget as very cheap for dorm room. About a 10 minute walk from the centre of cairns but out of the way so not much noise if you need sleep. Earn free nights stay if you book any activities over $200 which i thought was very good. Would recommend to other travellers.

Liked: I was only there before and after my dive trip, but everything seemed to be comfortable and in nice shape. I also noticed that people seemed to have formed friendships with other hostelers. Wish I could have stuck around to meet other travelers!

Liked: the location was good, however this hostel is desperate for a upgrade really shabby and dirty beds!! your lucky if they clean the sheets you have to ask them!! even on arrival!!

Liked: This hostel was the best we stayed in Australia!!Our double ensuite room was like an apartment; so clean with seperate toilet, shower and living room with a fridge. The staff here are soo friendly and helpful and always remember your name which sounds lame but acutally makes you feel more comfortable staying there.The pool area was great and the ktichen massive and clean. The free dinner coupons are awesome, we upgraded for $7 to a massive shnitzel with chips.Definitely reccommend this hostel!!

Liked: We got a private Twin room and it was perfect for us - safe, secure and quiet. Didn't think it would have a bathroom attached and it did which was an added bonus.

Liked: Caravella is a nice place to stay, it is clean, good rooms (new closets?) and the pool is a nice place to relaxe at. The grounds is rather big, so u will have room to stretch your legs.U should remember that Caravella also is a travel agent, which means that they always whant to sell u trips and travels. They really won't give u good places to go which is free. A good thing is that, if u buy a trip to somewhere over 200$(?) u get one night free. The using of the computers is not for free and it's outragesly expensive. (4,5$ p/h) The washing machines are useless, go downtown if u REALLY need to wash your clothes and not just fresh them up.
