Liked: Very comfortable rooms with ensuite bathroom, good beds and sink and fridge in the room as well. Pretty quiet setting yet close to all you need in Cairns.

Liked: Great outdoor area and was very clean. Perhaps the only downside was the price, seemed you could get similar accommodation in the area for less money.

Liked: The location was absolutely perfect for everything in Cairns, walking distance from all the main places. Rooms were good, 3 bunks so 6 pple in my room and a bathroom in each room. Beds were big and comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were big, lots of storage space, a kitchen to cook your own food. Lots of people staying over, many said how lovely Northern Greenhouse was compared to other hostels they stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff, I'd definitely recommend this hostel to anybody and everybody.

Liked: This place had a great feel to it - like a seaside resort (except it was about a 10minute walk to the sea). They had a good tour/travel desk and a lot of info around the hostel. The lounge area was really cool - like an open deck but with a cover. There's also a pool!

Liked: The swimming pool was a good size.The upstairs entertainment area was spacious and the huge fan made it cool and relax full to read a book on the comfy couches.Thye bar staff were friendly.The ensuite was modern and clean.

Liked: Was within walking distance to the lagoon (not much of a beach) but the pool provide loads of free classes. Get to breakfast early, its good and basic but once its gone its gone! Nice sitting area next to the kitchen where you can chill and chat. Staff were ok and polite enough but the girl was a bit ditsy and takes some patience. The internet has locks so good luck checking your emails if you are a member of yahoo....

Liked: The swimming pool was brilliant and having a fridge in your room helps with storage. The deck area is great and I can imagine it would be really busy and lively peak season. A really good hostel with great staff, the rooms were spotless and BIG!! Bit annoying that WiFi is limited to 30min each as you have your own computer but this is the only minus for this hostel. I would and already have recommended this hostel.

Liked: Close to town+has a few free things on like a BBQ on Sundays+Pancakes on Saturday. Also free 1/2hr internet every day.
