Liked: I really like the courtyard and common area, they made it easy to socialize and meet new people. Nomads always has events going which is great and keeps people entertained. The location is excellent, close to both the beach and nightlife.

Disliked: The only downside is having to leave a 5$ deposit for mugs, so bring some of your own cups! Also the rooms don't have mirrors and getting ready in a unisex bathroom isn't always fun but its just a minor detail.

Liked: Got a free room upgrade, nice facilities, nice staff and fun activities!

Disliked: That you have to pay for wifi is so outdated... In the rest of the world (except NZ) it is completely normal to get free wifi!

Disliked: toilets were not clean, you had to rent cups, drilling from near by construction keeping you awake from 7am, stupidly loud music playing round the hostel throughout the day and until 11pm, arrogant and unfriendly promoter guy working there and the room I stayed in was a bit grim.

Liked: the people in room #123 ;) close to everything, the beach, supermarket, nightclubs almost always clean

Disliked: kitchen: not enough fridges for so many people, not enough cutlery/pans/pots kitchen was sometimes a bit dirty, as many guests didn't clean up which was impossible without handtowels... room too small for 10 people, almost no space for our backpacks.

Liked: Great location. nice big sized rooms.

Disliked: Cleaner did worst hoovering job I've ever seen in my life! A ten second blast back and forth at the door does not make a floor cean. The floor was dirty and she didnt even bother to look around the restof the room.

Liked: it's clean (at least at daytime, at night and early in the morning a bit less), the location is good, good internet and lots of computers

Disliked: This is a partyhostel, which I didn't realize when I booked it! It was horrible! When you want to have some sleep, don't go here! People were playing drinking games in the dorm until late, then they went out, and then they all came back with a lot of noise from 3-6AM. They spoke very loud, turned the big lights on and smelled to alcohol, so that the whole dorm smelled in the morning. I maybe slept 3 hours during the night. You pay a lot of money for a 10 bed dorm, which is spacious and quite clean, it's just the people it attracts I really disliked.. If you just come to australia for partying this hostel is probably perfect.

Liked: Excellent location, very central. Great, party atmosphere and a great place to meet people! The rooms are clean, as are the bathrooms. All very modern too. Facilities are top drawer, loved our (extended) stay!

Disliked: They could do with a couple more fridges, being that the hostel is so popular.

Liked: Comfortable beds and very clean. Hot tubs were nice when it was cold although they didn't work properly!

Disliked: Very very noisy making it hard to have a good nights sleep. The loud music in the common room makes it impossible to avoid the party atmosphere. Sofas were very tatty. little room in the fridge and the kitchen is too small for the amount of guests. Boys always use the girls showers and toilets. Having schoolies in the hostel definitely affected our stay here.

Liked: We met some nice people, the decoration is nice and modern.

Disliked: It is very loud, they say no gathering in the hall but blast music out of speakers right outside the door to your room untill 11pm.

Liked: Excellent location in the middle of town and close to the beach. Counter staff were really friendly, as were the people in our dorm room. Lots of common areas to party and chill in.

Disliked: Filthy. Bed bugs, cockroaches in the room, dorm room carpet covered in stains, human excrement in the shower, and this was at 8:30am the day after whatever parties people were having.at night. This is a major party hostel, so cleaners should be there nearly 24/7. As an Australian who's stayed in many hostels overseas, makes me disgusted to have our overseas guests stay in these conditions! Internet is expensive and people are already paying a premium for accommodation. Also extremely noisy in the hallways at night. To the hostels credit they put signs up asking guests to not socialise in the hallways at night, but this should be enforced as many ignore it and are yelling and screaming outside the rooms at night, and there's plenty of great common areas for guests to party in.

Liked: Very nice interior, modern and colourful. TV room, common areas and kitchen were big and good except smoke from the near balconies came into the room, as well as to the bedroom. Nice rooms, bathrooms on the hallway which is good. Good evening entertainment.

Disliked: Smell of smoke everywhere, fridges too small but otherwise very good kitchen. NO luggage storage!! The day I checked out, I had 11 hours til my bus leaves and they said I need to put my luggage to a locker, which costs 10 dollars per 2 hours! Insane! They have luggage room for check-in customers though, so I got to use that after complaining about situation.

Liked: bathrooms on the second floor were spotless clean, dorms and rooms vacuumed every day, kitchen cleaned several times a day; it it located very central, close to the beach, the greyhound terminal and the supermarket

Disliked: music playing in the hallways all day long (was sometimes a bit loud), they set up rules ( you cannot bring glass bottles inside like beer bottles or glass jars for cooking) but have no control of them at all so that the common room was a complete mess the first night we were there (beer bottles and trash all over), they have table tennis but cannot provide any balls to play with, people are very noisy at night inthe hallways but noone from the staffreally bothers
