The main shared lounge area has a fabulous feel about it, plenty of space, but also intimate. It had a great fire going, we enjoyed curling up with a book. Free pool and table soccer. The kitchen is excellent with everything you need. Had a private room - 1 double, 2 bunks - very spacious, and 2 heaters thoughtfully on when we arrived. Fantastic customer service. Great board games. Lots of chalk boards with interesting info. Great location, can walk out the door into town. And fabulously KID-friendly! :-)

Very good atmosphere. Social time between 6 pm and 9 pm is a great idea to make people talk to each other. Free breakfast is good, as well as the bbq night. I had a great time at the flying fox, with a lot of lovely people!

I stayed here for a couple of days at the end of my stay in Australia and it was the best goodbye I could have hoped for! An incredibly welcoming, friendly atmosphere in a hostel that felt more like a home. Staff were friendly and gave some great advice on what to do in the local area, and it was lovely to go exploring in the day and come back in the evening to communal events like BBQs, bonfires etc. 10/10 I could not have asked for a better stay, and will definitely return when back in Aus. Thank you!
