Liked: Awesome atmosphere. I was sad to have only stayed one night. Very small hostel, people tended to sit around and chat away at night over a drink or two making it really nice and cosy. Friendly staff.

Disliked: It is a bit of a walk to the beach or two the pub, I was travelling with car so no problem there. Security is very much based on trust as there are no lockers and access isnt very much controlled but in the end it is a very safe location so you dont expect any problems.

Liked: I loved it. Loads of character about it. Good value for money, despite being a few minutes walk from the main part of Apollo Bay.

Liked: Good value for the (little) money. Free wifi is very good!

Disliked: Very old place, but for a short visit its ok

Liked: The location is not as centrally as advertised. But the place is very tiny and charming. I love the lounge room and the surroundings of the house, with very comfortable couchs to relax. The bathrooms are a bit poor comparing to the clean kitchen and lounge room. It's definitely a place where I would love to spend a couple of days just to enjoy the seaside life :)

Liked: Its a cute little house transformed into a hostel. When you pull up you say "is this really it?". It has a very homy feel, and a full kitchen with a whole shelf full of food and spices you can use for cooking. The staff is very friendly and the house is very clean. Its a great place to meet people and the atmosphere is great.

Liked: We particularly liked the friendly and incredibly helpful staff. They made it feel like a home away from home. I like hostels that have individual character and are owned and run by locals, which this one is. Top marks. Would definitely recommend people stay here if they're coming to Apollo Bay

Liked: The man managing the hotel is the best. He was genuine and informative. He gave us a ride to a hiking spot since we didn't have a car. You really get personal attention and feel like they care about the facilities and the travelers who stay there. Also, they are really good about recycling (if you are into that)!

Liked: Cleanliness was sub standard, and decor was very dated. Security wasn't great but at the same time it seemed like a good safe area. The owner was very helpful.

Liked: Nice to have breakfast available, but no dryer. The safety was not up to par since the hostel could be entered from the side yard through an unlocked bedroom. More spaces than table space.

Liked: Cosy hostel, a couple of blocks back from the main street in Apollo Bay. Nice veranda to relax on and nice, free breakfast in the morning.
