About Barefoot Lodge

Enjoy the great outdoors walking through tropical vine forests - Long Island's bush walks are considered by many to be some of the best in the Whitsunday Islands group. The 20kms of scenic walking tracks and palm fringed beaches offers fantastic views and encounters with local wildlife.

On the other hand, you could just kick back and relax on the beach, or sip a cool drink at the pool bar. On Long Island, it’s up to you!

Accommodation Information

Barefoot Lodge offers dorm style (4 bunks per room) or double/twin room accommodation, both with shared bathroom facilities. It is situated immediately behind Long Island Resort with access to all the resort facilities.

There is a host of activities and entertainment, beautiful views and beaches, restaurants, swimming pools, tennis courts, bars and so much more.

Set in tropical grounds amidst frangipanis, coconut palms and vibrant flame trees and with one of the Whitsunday's best beaches, Long Island is truly a tropical island paradise.

Barefoot Lodge gives you the options to enjoy the island in comfort while sticking to your budget. All rooms are fan cooled and have access to shared bathrooms.

Long Island is located within the Whitsunday's Islands group on the north eastern coast of Queensland, Australia.

The Whitsundays Coast Airport at Proserpine is the major gateway to the Whitsundays.

Airlie Beach is the usual starting point to explore the Whitsundays mainland and is a popular jumping off point from which to explore the Whitsunday Islands.
