Liked: It was less a hostel and more of a cheap hotel room which I liked. It had a balcony and a nice pool area.

Disliked: It needs updating, a lick of paint and there were tiles missing from the bathroom and you could see the pipework.

Liked: the shower in room 3A could do with improving - or at least a note stating that there is not enough hot water for one person to shower just after another.

Disliked: the shower was only good when used before someone else

Liked: More a proper hotel than a backpackers. We had a nice appartment with balcony to ourselves, even though there were 5 beds in it. The facilities are a bit old, but work all perfectly fine. Very nice pool area with view over Airlie and the marina. Great value for money!!!

Liked: Great location, kitchen in your own room, ocean view, comfy beds.

Disliked: but there is no soap in kitchen or bathroom. There is no free wifi internet connection. no lockers in rooms

Liked: The reception staff were lovely and always happy to help. The pool was a very chilled place to spend a hot afternoon. The air con was great. I enjoyed having my breakfast on the balcony joined by many cockatoos!

Disliked: The bathroom could have been cleaner.

Liked: The view and the dorm was more like a hotel room just with four separate beds. Television, kitchen, fridge, microwave shower with a bath, balcony...access to the pool that looked out to the water...and it was pretty cheap. I paid under $25. It was pretty quiet too which I liked except for in the pool area in the afternoon.

Disliked: A bit dirty, carpets needed a vacuum badly. I was lucky to score a bed that had a comfy mattress, the other two were pretty bad.

Liked: like a hotel, refreshing change from hostels. dorm rooms are hotel rooms with 4 beds. great value, had a sea view from balcony. swimming pool with sea view, bar, free wifi. excellent location on main airlie street. chilled out and away from party hostel. great for travelers who like a bit more piece and quiet. extended stay by 1 night.

Disliked: small kitchen in dorm room. if your trying to cook breakfast whilst others are sleeping you end up waking others up. separate kitchen would be better. aircon unit in room in very noisy, slept with it off.

Liked: - big rooms with own balkony, bathroom and kitchen - very nice swimmingpools and spa - good prices at cocktail bar - most of the staff was really helpful and friendly!

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff, wide range of tours available for booking at reception. Room had a good sea view and was a little old but generally clean.

Disliked: Air -con was leaking slightly and not very cold, but there was a ceiling fan so it was still alright.

Liked: I liked the pool, balcony at our room and the free wifi altough not in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and i could leave my backpack safe en secure for one day, because my bus left late in de evening. I was lucky to arrive first and had a 2persons bed for myself in the dorm, which was more an appartment. I don't like to stay in very big hostels (like base, nomads etc) so this was an good choice.

Disliked: There wasn't enough forks and knifes, bowls and plates and no glasses. The kitchen is old, but everything worked. The door of the bathroom was broken, so we couldn't close it. But probably they fixed it already :)

Liked: It was the most luxiourous place I have stayed that calls itself hostel accomodation!! The view is beautiful, the pool are is fabulous and it is right in the middle of town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Disliked: The only thing I can think of is to maybe have a hot plate in the property for food.

Liked: I loved absolutely everything about this property and was so glad I decided to stay here.From the moment we arrived the staff were so accomodating and upgraded us to an Amazing apartment for our budget price!The accommodation was stunning, we had a large tv and lovely balcony views from our room-all for Such a fabulous budget price!The pool was lovely and the location was central!Really enjoyed our stay here!!

Disliked: Nothing-the property was wonderul for such a cheap reasonable price!

Liked: The location of the property was good, but I would not stay here again as the rest of the hotel was so poor.

Disliked: The room had a multitude of faults, the patio doors did not lock, there was a large hole in the ceiling, the bath and the taps were corroded, the ceiling in the bathroom was coming down, the room had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, the crockery was dirty, the used toiletries of the previous occupier were left in the bathroom. When I complained to staff, they said they were aware the room was 'a little jaded'! The refused to give me the address for head office and said it was their policy not to issue refunds. I would strongly advise against staying here.

Liked: I loved the terraces! The rooms were big hotel rooms with extra beds put in to make them share rooms. Had a great bathroom and kitchenette, and fantastic balcony with a seaview. The location was excellent and was lovely and quiet. Loved that I had a TV too to watch the rugby. Everything about it was perfect!

Disliked: There was a strange rule about being charged if you didnt take your own rubbish out.

Liked: We were the only 2 in the room. There was a nice pool and a hot tub. There were good views. The dorm room we stayed in (5 people) had its own bathroom and kitchen, so perfect if you want somewhere quiet with walkable distance to all the nightlife!

Disliked: You couldnt meet other travellers here

Liked: Of the four beds in the room, I was lucky enough to get the one that had an actual mattress on it. It was very comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. Also, the room comes with a kitchen complete with cookware and plates.

Disliked: This isn't a hostel. It's a property that rents out basic vacation apartments. They've just taken a couple of the rooms and "converted" them into dorms by adding additional beds. There's no programming, no effort to help you meet other people, and even if you did want to have people over to your room, they'll charge you if you get caught. There were ants all over the floor, and the shower barely spat out enough water to wash off.

Disliked: Had a problem with ants and cleanliness could have been better. Aged apartments that don't get much attention. Early check-out.

Disliked: no free internet or overnight luggage storage, dorms are basically an appartement with beds placed in them, beds are hard.

Liked: Nice view over Airlie Beach coze the hostel is located on a hill.

Disliked: The hostel was once a hotel which is now too run down and used as a hostel to squeeze out the last dollar out of it. While I was there a investor visited the location. Additionally the stuff is unmotivated and unfriendly. The reception closed one hour prior to the announced time. Unfortunately the only two PCs of the hostel were in the same room. Is located on a steep hill which is not very comfortable to access. Officially a non party policy but no one who cares about it. Luckily I only booked one night in advance so I could leave the next day.
