Liked: clean and tidy except for the kitchen area which was messy at times, Cerntral location right by the lagoon was brilliant. Plenty of places to eat and bars with lots of cold beers. Whitsunday island exceelent fun, scube diving, sailing and island hopping. The staff were lovely and helpful. I had a wonderful time and will gop back next time i'm in Oz.

Disliked: The kichen area was not well equppied and small and like i said earlier at times it was messy and not looked after properly. There is a new kitchen area being built at the mo, so next time i'm here, it'll be good to see hope improvemnts.

Liked: Very close to the beach and bus stop from Greyhound! Helpful staff with lots of tours etc available!

Liked: directly on the main street of airlie beach. nice location in the middle of a rainforest. every room has a bathroom. free wifi.

Disliked: i got bed bugs from this hostel. kitchen is way too small for all the people and has not enough utilities.

Liked: its a good fun hostel with a really good location. i also happen to have a broken foot and the staff were more than happy to accommodate for me. the bar was also very close which ment i didn't have to walk far to have a good time.

Disliked: the kitchen is far to small and had a huge lack of equipment. i could only fine one sharp knife to cut with and only spoons to eat with. i also had my ipod stolen and got bitten by bed bugs while staying hear.

Liked: The location is just a 5-10 min walk from greyhound station, supermarket and other shops right next door.

Disliked: Problems with wifi access whilst there, had to use the cafe attached to magnums this wasn't offered after enquiring about the access.

Liked: Great location close to everything. The hostel is behind the pub and has a beautiful rain forest setting. There is a lot of accommodation available including private rooms at reasonable rates. A great place to meet new people.

Disliked: It can be quite noisy on the weekend.

Liked: The desing of the grounds and the sensation of being in the middle of a rainforest is great. This was my second time there in four years and nothing has changed. it's still party central and there's plenty to do, it's a great place to meet people and to hang out.

Disliked: The place is pretty messy early on in the morning with the refuse of parties from the night before, so make sure you wear shoes all the time.

Disliked: I sleept in Magnums 2 nights ang then I need to pay for my Luggage, bucuase I put my Luggage for 5 hours during the day. So bad, I can bellive. This never hapend to me.

Liked: atmosphere

Disliked: I booked for one night, but I couldn't arrive on time, so I called the hostel if I could change the arrival date to 1 day after. They could change it of course, but they are going to charge me for the night I wasn't there! Even more stupid; I asked if I could change it to 2 persons instead of one and we would stay for 2 night, instead of 1. So they could have make much more money, but because they still would charge me for the night I didn't stay there, I went to Beaches. It's just not very customer friendly in my opinion.

Liked: Excellent value for money, free wifi was a bonus! Very good location right by the lagoon at airlie beach and by all the bars. Set in a lovely tropical garden with a nice big outdoor washing line so saved money on tumble drying!

Disliked: Kitchen was slightly unclean and the first room we were allocated was really dirty however we went straight back to reception and they were very helpful and gave us a much cleaner nicer room good service, so don't be afraid to ask to change rooms!

Disliked: No facilities within property to BBQ own food however the close by lagoon had the facilities for this with amazing scenery. Would have been good to also do it near accommodation so as to meet other travelers

Liked: it was cheap and the deluxe cabines had private bathrooms

Disliked: The staff was horrible! not helpful at all; difficult to talk to, did not listen to the costumers, made mistakes about bookings several times, ignored costumers, forgot to mention when check in time was, was not interested in keeping the customer happy (more interested in argueing) and had little information about bookings that were made by other mebers of the staff. In addition, it was not given good information about their policy about late arrivals ( if you book a deluxe cabin and want to arrive after opening hours, you will be able to pay for it, and you will get your booking confirmation, but your booking will be deleted by their system and will not excist when you arrive). The bathroom facilities looked like they had never been cleaned and were filled with dirt and bugs. The private rooms were smelly and also dirty and filled with bugs. This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed at!
